I think the forecast is good.TANGODANCER wrote:Good luck and good weather, all of you. Wish I was there.
Can't you let her caddy - what could be better than a nice walk in the sun on your anniversary?

Sussed it you have, Comrade.communistworkethic wrote: If I've sussed it correctly, the back 9 is now the front 9, the old 10th is now the driving range and the practice area is now the 1st!!
on that basis, 9th hole will be our nearest the pin competition.
I got a card when I was up there last night and you're spot on. Of course, this means that we now start off with a 478 Yard Par 5 (SI 8 ), then it's the old 11th (Dog-leg right, forest to the right, embankment left) 331 Yard Par 4 (SI 4) followed by another Par 5 at 476 Yards. Not like how you set off the last time I played up there with a 328 Yard Par 4 (SI 18 )
May the bridges I burn light your way

aye the goold old days - 3 wood and an an 8 iron.
Mind you when I was young and flexible the 9th (475yrds par 5 if memory serves) was drive cutting off the dogleg and an 8 iron. Theses days it'll be a good drive and and then another one!

Guys, bad news (or good, depending what you think of me) as I can't make it Sunday due to a mix up in dates re. a wedding I'm attending. Buggerfucktw*t as 'The Parkie' from Viz used to say.
Have a great round and a fair contest, and I'll definately be at Hoylake on the Friday should anyone else here be.

Are we still on then? How many have we got coming? And how many shots are people claiming?

Right we are now down to 4 - sotwa's dropped out due to work to.
I'm still up for playing, though maybe we defer the "Open" itself until we get some more people available?? The trophies and prizes will wait until then. Then we can add Ratbert, SOTA, Tango, Gertie and may PLodder to the line-up.

May I second those sentiments... sorry you can't make it SOTWA. I make that one cry-off each then.Bruce Rioja wrote:And may I also just convey my most sincere thanks to you for the time and amount of stirling effort that you have selflessly put into this as a forum project. Some probably thought I was jesting at the idea of a trophy but no. Forget the Claret Jug of teh British Open or the green jacket of the US Masters.....here we have the TW Open 2006 Trophy

Re: THE TW OPEN TROPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't rate that fella's backswing, but it's a nice little trophy. So Bruce, Gingerness and I are not competing with you for its custody then?
