There have been some belters, but who is your personal favorite?
For me it has to be:
Ben Kingsley as Don Logan in Sexy Beast.
Unequaled!!

A pal of mine once received some acting tips off Alan Rickman, and he told him to always play the villian as being slightly camp. Just thught I'd share that with you.superjohnmcginlay wrote:Alan Rickman in Robin Hood and Die Hard. He was better than the "star" in both films.

Are you suggesting that SOTWA would make the perfect movie villian because if so, don't sugarcoat it, just come out with it.Bruce Rioja wrote:A pal of mine once received some acting tips off Alan Rickman, and he told him to always play the villian as being slightly camp. Rickman for me every time. Superb in everything he's done.
Mind you, the villain in a Jean Claude Van Damme (crap) film about a manhunt in New Orleans was pretty good. Can't remember his name and no time to search. And what about the fop in Rob Roy, fantastic acting. Made you hate his guts.

Hard Target was the film & Lance Henrickson was the villian but his henchman was Arnold Vosloo aka Imhotep from the Mummy Films.TANGODANCER wrote:Rickman for me every time. Superb in everything he's done.

The Fop in Rob Roy was Tim Roth of course.
My picks in no particular order.
Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs
Alan Rickman in Robin Hood PoT & Die Hard
Jack Nicolson in Batman & The Shining
Gary Oldman Leon & Dracula
Robert Mitchum in The Night of the Hunter
Plenty more I could mention
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

Night of the Hunter (Mitchum) good call Wovlad. (Shall we gather at the River?)
How about De Niro? Great in Cape Fear and Casino. Tommy Lee Jones as the mad bomber? John Malkevitch (Sirus the Virus) in Conair and Clint Eastwood's nemesis in ? (Pesident's Bodyguard film, forgotten its name). All good villains.
