NFL Football

Post by americantrotter » Sun Aug 27, 2006 3:35 am

Any american football fans here? My team is currently getting ripped a new one by my city's team. 27-0 I am a Redskins fan as that was actually local to me with my 24 years in the Old Dominion. I still support my favorite college from there too, but everything else has gone the way of Boston. (much too my co-workers delight with the Patriots being 3 time champions)

Anyhow, it's a good game, even if they never really put foot to ball.

Any favorite team's for you Brits?

NBA fan myself. Did anyone ever see the XFL league, the one endorsed by World Wrestling Entertainment? That was terrible...

Been a Dolphins fan since 1983, always underachieved, but starting to look like a threat again this year

Reggie Bush is not going to get the Saints to the Super Bowl. He will help them win a few games, but their defense sucks. Ferguson btw went to the University of Virginia, so I've been a fan of his for 4 years.

Atlanta Falcons for me. Don't keep an eye out as much as I do with Bolton though.

It's a little easier to keep track of for me. 16 Games is nothing, I will watch the Wanderers over the Redskins, but it rarely conflicts.

I used to be a big New York Jets fan in my youth, even had a NYJ's poster on my wall. I haven't followed it in years but the last I heard, they wasn't doing at all well.

The Jets? Yeah, they were pretty poor last season, but they have a new coach, so all is not lost. I personally dont like the Jets, as they are from New York. In my sporting Universe New York=Evil.

Yes I am a big Red Sox fan. It's been that way since I met my wife in 99. I had no "local" team in baseball beyond a AAA team which lead to support of the Braves as a young'un. The Reskins were very local however and despite their recent history I am a fan for life.

Not our year. Oh well. Yankees=American version of United. I'll keep fighting the good fight anyways.

Looking forward to the NFL season though. I've just bought Madden 07 as well.

Definatly you need some pitching depth!!

That Rookie closer(can't remember his name) looks like a gooden.

Let me warn you in advance, you will be VERY disapointed and become very impatiecte with Brandon Lloyd.

Papelbon=Papelgod! It's wait till next year now.

Lloyd will be okay. He just needs to be a decent number 3 receiver.
