West Ham are having "exploratory discussions" over a possible takeover.
The move comes hot on the heels of the club luring Argentine pair Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to the club.
"Discussions are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer for West Ham will be forthcoming," said a club statement to the Stock Exchange.
"The board also confirms that there is no contractual link between the signing of the players (Tevez and Mascherano) and the bid discussions."

Skysports extends it a little further:
"West Ham are engaged in 'exploratory discussions' over a possible takeover, but the club insist talks are at a very early stage.
Kia Joorabchian, the owner of Media Sport Investment, has long been linked with a possible takeover of the East London club.
MSI were also the company involved in the remarkable transfer deadline day signings of Argentine duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.
But The Hammers are adamant there is no 'contractual' link between a possible takeover and the signing of the 22-year-old pair.

This definately reeks of suspicion. It's like Bolton signing Ronaldinho on a free.

i think you're missing the point SH, it's the fact they everyone is highly suspicious of the financial arrangements surrounding this deal and the worring involvement of Mr Abramovich.SAMHATER wrote:Even if they are only here for 1 year, thats 1 year with 2 of the best players in the world.
Nobody is moaning about Anelka only being here for one year? Or Fortune using us to impress Celtic
