Croatia
Humble apologies if I've missed a Croatia-England thread, tried a few likelys and can't find one, can;t spend forever searching as I can't see over my desk for work
Simple question which those with more spare time than I may enjoy debating:
If Allardyce were England manager, what line-up would he choose tonight (suspensions and injuries being exactly as they are)?
Robinson;
G Neville, Ferdinand, Terry (c), A Cole;
Phil Neville (he's expressed admiration before);
Lampard, Parker (nobby would be in the squad though!);
Rooney, SWP;
Crouch

Think exactly what you've got there from the current squad, although I think he'd have kept Beckham in the squad just to prove a point to Beckham that he's a good manager.
Nobby would have been in and probably SKD too
So you'd probably have had Parker anchoring - cannot leave him out the way he's playing - lets hope he's injured for Sunday! - Nobby and beckham in the middle - or Lampard and Nobby then Rooney and SKD/or Rooney sand Lampard behind crouch

I quickread something in the paper the other day, I think his team was thus, it was all about dropping Rooney
Robbo
Red Nev - Rio - JT - Cashley
----------- Blue Nev
---------Lamps----stevie g la'
--Sweep-----------------------Downthere
---------------crouchinho
His love of Phil Neville astounds me though - what's wrong with Scott Parker, the only thing staving Newcastle from relegation. He'd die for the cause as well, playing with broken face & disease at times last year for Newcastle.
Croatia have never ever lost at home, so this should be good.
