Matchday train
Couldn't make my mind up whether to post in here or in the Trotters forum, but anyway gone for here...
I know its a while off but my mate is pestering me to organise our pre christmas wanderers game and piss up in Manchester and has picked the West Ham game, which is a ball ache 5:15 ko on the 9th dec.
So my question is how reliable are the trains on a matchday? I have got me timetables and it says that there is a train at 5 past 7 (too early - nice one), one at 24 mins past, and one at 8.
Am guessing there will probably be a few West Hammers on there going back to Manc for a London train. Given that just wondering if anyone on here can tell me from experience how many fans tend to use the trains to Manc (it always looks fairly busy when we go past on the bus), whether everyone gets on the first available train or it gets to full so you can be left there for an hour after FT, and really if its worth it or not.
The other choice is driving to the 3 pigeons and catching the 7 bus in. I know that the busses are good so am edging toward this one, but if the trains are ok we can all have a few beers before/during the game as well which would be good.

I caught the train home to Bolton the last few games, and its usually full of opposing fans. Obviously there are pretty full. But reliable and pretty much free as no one can make there way through to charge everyone, and it takes less than 10 minutes to get to Bolton (Supakwik). I like it and will continue to use it.
Stay up
