The Greatest EVER..................Feel Good Movie

Post by Soldier_Of_The_White_Army » Fri Nov 10, 2006 7:24 pm

You know, the one's the fella's always have to bunch up to afterwards, the one's that make you feel better about yourself and the world once it's finished. The one's were that damn thing fly's straight into your eye. Quite simply the movie that makes you forget the crap filled nauseating world we have to stomach and reminds us that the human spirit still has courage, integrity and righteousness.

I saw one of my all time favourite feel good movies today, it was 'The Scent of a Woman' Pacino's greatest ever performance in my opinion, and has always it had me smiling at the end.

So.........what would be your all time favourite 'Feel Good Movie'?

I suppose 'It's a wonderful life' would have to be up there.

Have to rate a few of equal standing for me. Not surprisingly, dance figures highly:

Dirty Dancing. At 16, the world's your oyster. Pity it all had to end.....Cynthia Rhodes lives on.
Strictly Ballroom, laugh a minute. Great performances from some Aussie actors.
Hope and Glory. Brilliant wartime frolics. Quite hilarious.
Shall we dance. Worth putting up with Jennifer Lopez's memorably forgetable acting to see Stanley Tucci in action.

And yes, "Scent of a woman" was excellent, as was Pacino's tango

Whistle Down the Wind - Hayley Mills and a small bunch of urchins. Lovely film.

There's another film of which I cannot remember the title. It's far from a classic, but I enjoy it when I view. It involved a pair of nesting birds outside a small village, said birds being rare (pippins?). Whatever, it's on my list. Anyone help with the title?

Well, they killed more in the final frame than John James did in 3 movies. I rest my case.
