Top of my head : £100 for the DS lite and £150 for the baseline PSP.

PSP plays UDM movies - kak; though of course you can burn your own onto the memory card.

My bro got a PSP, it's a fine piece of kit. Haven't tried those UMD movies though, they look like a quite stupid way to spend money.

It all depends on the games you like. I like my DS Lite. I can play the MarioKart game that I like, and they have unique games using the touch pad. It's cheaper, and it's games are cheaper.

They both play online, and are highly rated. It really depends on your budget, and your gaming style.

I have a DSLite, and I have Mario Kart. PSP's are fine If you're willing to shell out. TBH the DS has better games (New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 64 DS, Animal Crossing, Metroid Hunters) than PSP (Only game I'd get that I couldn't buy on other formats would be Loco Roco).

I have just bought a DS Lite for my 7 year old daughter (Christmas present Sshhhh). I have had to have a little play just in case it was broken :D . I have got her New Mario Brothers, Animal Crossing, Pippa Funnel (Looks rubbish), Nintendogs, Monster House and Brain Training  . Any other game suggestions would be much appreciated.

Quite impressed to be honest even if it is pink.

I may have to go and have a bit more of a play just in case some problem develops between now and Christmas Day.

Metroid Hunters is supposed to be the best game for it (I don't own it, I can't play it because I have weak wrists), but I don't think it would do much for a 7 year old girl. Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, and Brain Training will keep her quite until her next birthday (unless she chooses to do the speaking test on BT which my sister always does)

I have had a PSP since last Nov, and I still use it as much now.

Games and entertainment are equally as important, I download the new South Park, 24 and Lost onto the PSP, and I play Pro Evo and GTA over wi-fi at work when its quiet with the lads in the office.

Never tried a DS, but the missus wants one for that Nintendogs thing.

All the Mario games are good particularly MarioKart.

Phoenix Wright is good. It's a lawyer game (sounds stupid, but its fun)

I love my new DS Lite, and I cant believe that I went without it. I would like the PSP, but I have PS2 and will get the PS3, I like the new games that owning the DS Lite opens up. Plus the wife likes it so much I'll be getting her one for XMAS.

Trust me, do not but a DS just for Nintendogs, it grates after about two days of playing it.
