Jenas to miss Holland friendly
Damn. How will we get by now.Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has been ruled out of England's friendly against Holland with a calf injury.
England coach Steve McClaren has called Manchester United's Kieran Richardson into the squad as a replacement.
Jenas is the seventh player to pull out of the squad for the match in Amsterdam.
Gary Neville, Ledley King, Darren Bent, Scott Parker, Stewart Downing and Chris Kirkland will also miss the match.
Plus SEVEN call-offs & still nothing for Nolan or Davies.
Don't get me wrong, I think Nolan is a long shot for an England place, but he'd damn-well have one if he played for Spurs or Newcastle.
Davies, - OK not the worlds most classy player, but EXACTLY the player Rooney needs alongside him to get the best out of him.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He plays for Manure, what do you expect.
It's the problem we have had under the last couple of england managers, you don't have to be playing competitive games to be picked. To be honest I just don't care about England at football (don't get me wrong I want us to win, but I wont break my neck to watch us unlike other sports!), as the managers don't have the passion to make the decisions so we end up seeing Manure and Chelski reserves playing for the national team rather than the form players you used to see under braver managers such as Bobby Robson, and even to a degree Venables.

Now, I'm glad the guy is okay, don't wish him bad, but how stupid have you to be to run into a pole during training and get poked in the eye?thebish wrote:Dyer got a poke in the eye with a pole* in a "freak" training ground accident. He reckons he was nearly blinded - in fact he did completely lose the sight in that eye for a while...
(*not graham)
Newcastle should start that pole instead of Bramble next game!

anyway, back to the thread - last time england played holland was it Ricketts only game? Loads of debuts in that game as well IIRC...
Hope we get beat and McClaren cries, be a larf. I couldn't give a toss either way to be honest. Just hope our squad returns fit from internationals.
