Hardly fair on AJ really.. take an out and out centre forward and play him on the right wing... with Shrek up the middle...

good shout on diving though.. lot's of prem 'feel the contact-grab some grass' antics fortunately waved off by a half decent ref.. who then fecked it up

Rooney will probably get 7 out of 10 because he scored, but he does nothing at international level at the moment but try stupid school yard tricks that get eaten up and deservedly so!!

Cole's cross for the goal is one of the best deliveries I have ever seen in international football.

likewise - carrick - given that he is supposed to be some kind of maestro-genius midfield string-puller!!

Gerrard and lampard - both pretty much anonymous - Joe Cole - he's the one that makes things happen (gobby little barrow-boy that he is.)

AJ - yes, maybe played out of his preferred position - but he did look a bit lightweight - easily shrugged off - but, then again, that's why he usually wins so many penalties. he ran around a lot - bit a bit "headless" I thought

Micah Richards - about the only bright spark, I thought - I'd have him at Bolton!

best player on the pitch - Robben.. though, well dealt with by Richards most of the time - at least Robben had some passion about him and looked as if he wanted to win...

Still a 1-1 with Hollands reserves is pretty good

I don't give a flying poo either and got a bollocking for cheering on the boys in Orange whenever I paid it attention (cleaning my daughters mud covered shoes was much more fun)

My amount of care for the Spanish team is proportional to the number of catalans in the starting XI. Only Cesc the last day (and still haven't forgiven him poofing of to Arsenal).

I was on the moon when Spain won the basketball world championship, since 50% of the team was catalan.
