Dundee winger Andy McLaren's future at the club is in doubt after he received three red cards during Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Clyde.
McLaren, 33, saw red after lashing out at defender Eddie Malone and received a second red card after striking Michael McGowan on his way off the pitch.
He was given a third for his off-field reaction to referee Dougie McDonald.
Dundee chief executive Dave McKinnon said the club would discuss the issue within the next 24 hours.
"This is an internal matter," McKinnon told BBC Sport.
"There will be a meeting within the next 24 hours to decide how to take things forward and we will make a statement afterwards."
Dundee player-manager Alex Rae said: "I need to sit down and have a talk to him because indiscipline has cost us a few times this season."
Clyde also had Neil McGregor sent off for two bookable offences committed within a minute in the second half of a bad-tempered First Division fixture.
The Dundee boss added: "Obviously we will miss Andy. We just have to accept whatever comes and get on with it."

Sounds like the lad had, what I would call, "an Andy Todd moment".

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".
