Re: The Debt.
So, have we actually paid the HMRC bill? I've either missed the announcement or there hasn't been one.

Re: The Debt.
it'd be daft to pay it much before the bailiffs actually move in - we'd lose a few days' interest!
I bet you fill up with petrol BEFORE it gets well past empty - don't you, eh?? panic fannies!! {sigh}

Indeed - poorly worded by me. However, how the fecking Dickens has it got from £600K to £3M in the matter of a few weeks?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Yes, quite literally.Bruce Rioja wrote:"Wanderers must pay a £3million tax and VAT bill owed to HMRC".... Is this going up by the day?

Re: The Debt.
I think the £600k was the PAYE and tax bill . The two or three million is that plus all the quarterly VAT bill which hasn't been paid for a year. The winding up petition was for the PAYE monies, but it has triggered a demand for all revenues to be settled. At least I think that's the situation...Bruce Rioja wrote:Indeed - poorly worded by me. I imagine, everytime we pay our staff it goes up because we take away their TAX / NI, but then don;t give it to the Govt.. I may well be, and probably am, wrong

I can't imagine Whelan will have made a particularly generous offer for Euxton either. Bet he's nailed us to the table in revenge for that extra million we got for Al Habsi

Whelan would nail his mother to the table to get the best deal, hopefully our new (maybe) billionaire owner employs ex US Seals and extracts revenge!Harry Genshaw wrote:I can't imagine Whelan will have made a particularly generous offer for Euxton either. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
