if it's performance related pay and he compares his pay to last season - then we're stuffed...

"Performance-related pay" - is his salary subject to a Twitter vote? Is he paid per header? Does he get paid more if we're in the top six? If so, what if we start the game outside the top six and end it inside the top six, or the other way round?

Presumably he's paid more if selected in the team....

Perhaps, although that'd be "appearance-related". Most players get an appearance bonus anyway, but some contracts are more heavily weighted towards that than the basic. Perhaps that's the case here.BWFC_Insane wrote:Presumably he's paid more if selected in the team....
Only problem is, it gets a bit farcical if we get skint again... ask Jay Spearing, whose season was curtailed by a similar deal, albeit club-to-club and ceiling-triggered rather than club-to-player and per-game. I have a vague recollection of another player, possible under Freedman, "frozen out" because we/he didn't want to pay a bonus...
(and of course players in those situations can't get loaned out any more, they just hang around stinking the place up)

Yeah, possibly - that'd be to the Ammers as a result of the tribunal, I guess. Tanelson66 wrote:Rob Hall ?

BREAKING NEWS
Official: We've signed Lewis Buxton
Seems to be primarily a right-back who can also play centre-back. Interestingly, while researching that I discovered that his old team-mate Mark Beevers has also covered at left-back, so that's an option.
Official: We've signed Lewis Buxton
6ft 1in, born Isle of Wight but has been up north (Stoke, Sheffield, Rotherham) since 2004. Since then he's also been in the top two flights bar a couple of third-tier campaigns with Wednesday. Turns 33 in December. Most recently on the books at Rotherham United, the versatile defender has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Macron Stadium.
The 32-year-old started his career with his Portsmouth, breaking into their first team during the 2001/02 season before enjoying loan stints with Exeter City and AFC Bournemouth.
After moving to Stoke City, he signed for Sheffield Wednesday in January 2009 following a brief loan spell at Hillsborough and was a member of the Owls side that won promotion to the Championship in 2011/12.
Spending last season with Rotherham United, Buxton made 22 appearances in all competitions as the Millers avoided relegation.

Lion of vienna (hmmm) claim we only have managed to register Beevers of our new signings to play tomorrow...

If so, a total and utterly disgraceful shambles. Hopefully LoV are making this up.

^ ahhh - "totally and utterly disgraceful" - normal service resumed!
Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru
Don't understand then how the official site can claim they have signed then? Plus do we honestly believe that Parkinson would have stayed around if we went into the first game of the season with only what I presume can be no more than the kids and a handful of professionals? Scary monger ink?
I hope this is rubbish

Very good player. We let him go due to his injury record. He'd still be with us had he been able to stay fit.

There is a lot of obnoxious shite on that website but the guy who write this seems a lot more sensible. We will see tomorrow.BWFC_Insane wrote:Lion of vienna (hmmm) claim we only have managed to register Beevers of our new signings to play tomorrow...
