this recent attempt to be a poor-man's BWFCi with the ridiculous hyperbole... it's a bit daft (IMHO)

Wilshire's available on loan !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He was dreadful. Had a couple of months right towards the end when he finally started to look like a competent Championship player. 3 years and one relegation too late. £2.5m+ well spent by Cpt. Dickhead.
But he came from Real Madrid so he must be good. For his entire time with us in the Prem he was one of the worst I've seen (relative to the level we were at). Not Cid bad, sure, but baaaad. Defensively dreadful. His starting position was to show a winger inside, then get himself between them and the corner flag. Thankfully he had searing pace to recover.

There was one game, I think Fulham the year we were relegated from the Prem at home, where he just gave up. Damien Duff was tearing him a new arse hole almost every minute, and I recall him sitting down, taking his shin pads off and feigning an injury.

According to Marc Iles, we had one prospect in for a medical this afternoon, which they failed. Mavies out for the rest of the season now, so replacements needed and quickly. No pressure Pru!

Parky says he wants three in tomorrow. That would mean two leaving as Iles reckons FL won't budge on squad size. He says 1/2 are teed up to leave.

We're working hard behind the scenes, but it wouldn't be fair to talk about other clubs' players until they sign.Bijou Bob wrote:According to Marc Iles, we had one prospect in for a medical this afternoon, which they failed. Unfortunately, as we're all aware, an injury to the useless bastard has frustrated the main purpose of this thread but we're hoping we can still make the best of a bad situation. Unfortunately the end of the loan window means getting rid of him will fall to somebody else.
In our defence, of the regular 11 who have started the season, this thread has brought in 5 of them (I'm including Wheater who had left), along with the two Taylors so that's 7 first teamers. Hopefully we can add two or three more before the window slams shut.

Bye bye Walker and Wilkinson, surely? Though I'd be having words with Mavies re: a lump sum now first, if we're allowed.BWFC_Insane wrote:Parky says he wants three in tomorrow. That would mean two leaving as Iles reckons FL won't budge on squad size. He says 1/2 are teed up to leave.

Parky is quoted by Iles as saying ideally 4 in by close of play. I'm hoping Pru has taken the day off, stoked the coffee pot, charged his phone and settled in for a long haul. #15hourstosavetheseason

Have to say I have a pretty bad feeling about today, hard enough to do deals normally let alone against the clock and needing special approval and outs first. Hope I'm wrong!

Relax. I heard we have drafted Harry Redknapp in to help. We've got three days from now to finalise any deals......
