Probably, but nobody would care, cos Rugby is shit and only paid by posh boys who are already bent (in all meanings of the word) anyway.boltonboris wrote:Would the RFU have to go through all this bollocks?

Indeed - footballers sent off for "simulation" should be sent to a couple of Rugby training sessions (either code). Just to see how far the hooker could stick it up 'em.BWFC_Insane wrote:RFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBruce Rioja wrote:Wigan? Warrington? St Helens? Salford? Hull? Bradford? Widnes? Anyway, Barnsley have sacked their assistant manager, Tommy Wright (not our ex spare goalie, the other one) for receiving cash to 'influence' the club's signings.

Could an assistant manager actually do that without the managers knowlege?Bruce Rioja wrote:Anyway, Barnsley have sacked their assistant manager, Tommy Wright (not our ex spare goalie, the other one) for receiving cash to 'influence' the club's signings.

Why not? Takes the money and recommends certain players to the manager? Manager wouldn't know he was being paid to do that would he?TANGODANCER wrote:Could an assistant manager actually do that without the managers knowlege?Bruce Rioja wrote:Anyway, Barnsley have sacked their assistant manager, Tommy Wright (not our ex spare goalie, the other one) for receiving cash to 'influence' the club's signings.
Re: Allardyces dream job...
Of course they had a choice. They'll answer some questions before the select committee. Oh no. That's happened because of the size of the media storm. Utterly irrelevant as to the underlying issues. Sure, it was easier to sack him, but doesn't mean they had to. They picked the easy option. Because they're cowards.BWFC_Insane wrote:And there are still people who will say the FA had a choice....

The manager will know for sure and probably go halves. His shirt will be clean though.BWFC_Insane wrote:Why not? Takes the money and recommends certain players to the manager? Nah, they are a organisation that comes under public and parliamentary pressure when the shit hits the fan. They are run by shits, but doesn't take away from the fact they had very little choice. Had they stood by him the storm would be unrelenting. Also their whole push for integrity in the sport would be ridiculed to high heaven.Prufrock wrote:Of course they had a choice. They had no choice in the real world.
In an imaginary one where people can pretend the FA can ignore the media, parliament and their own charter then yes, perhaps they had a choice....

What does your quoted article say? I've reached my free articlelimit and am not paying to read it cos I'm too tight (he types, taking another sip of homebrew).BWFC_Insane wrote:Nah, they are a organisation that comes under public and parliamentary pressure when the shit hits the fan. Also just read that Ralf Rangnick is being looked at to replace Big Sam. Heard the name but that's all.

Re: Allardyces dream job...
That Collins is a dick going on about governance and how it's taken a private group to catch SA out. Is he suggesting the FA should employ PIs or journos toentrap managers before appointing them? Classic case of politician opening mouth for a TV soundbite without thinking about it. Tit.
