Outgoings outstripped income significantly at the time this loan was taken out. It was mentioned that this looked like a payday loan. The only way it could be serviced was outside investment of a longer term nature or out of the asset Base. Michael Knighton mk2.Riviman wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... Wanderers/

He needs to come to an agreement with them as DH can't sell his shares without Blumarble's say so.Bruce Rioja wrote:But if KA wants to buy DH out then he'll need to settle it, no?Peter Thompson wrote:This Blumarble loan was Holdsworth's doing though not KARiviman wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... It has been reported that one of the major reasons for the falling out between DH and KA was the terms of the loan that DH took out. Which lets face it we always knew were not good. But better than the alternative at the time.
I suspect he is trying to lengthen the term of the loan and also reduce the block they have in terms of sale of shares in the business. KA will have to pay that loan off but I suspect he'll do that with either a sale of the club or further investment.
What worries me a bit is a lot of this seems fine should we go up this year. Extra income and more attractive for a sale or investment. And KA seems to have investors to bridge us to the end of the season. What happens though if we don't go up?

Knowing us, if we go up, there'll be a clause in the Blumarble terms to increase our interest rateBWFC_Insane wrote:He needs to come to an agreement with them as DH can't sell his shares without Blumarble's say so.Bruce Rioja wrote:But if KA wants to buy DH out then he'll need to settle it, no?Peter Thompson wrote:This Blumarble loan was Holdsworth's doing though not KARiviman wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... Maybe, because whilst the facility agreement was to Sports Shield BWFC Ltd (Prop and sole Director, D.Holdsworth), it was signed by Burnden Leisure. I'm not sure on what planet this has just become apparent, the paperwork has been online for months (without the detail of the amounts etc.)Bruce Rioja wrote:But if KA wants to buy DH out then he'll need to settle it, no?Peter Thompson wrote:This Blumarble loan was Holdsworth's doing though not KARiviman wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... Deanno has now issued a statement.
Bolton Wanderers Football Club Joint Owner and Director, Dean Holdsworth, has issued a statement regarding recent public speculations.
“Over recent weeks there have been many published articles highlighting certain issues within the club. It would preferable to all that the current situation be resolved and that is what I plan to achieve. However, until that time, I believe that the constant need for press attention and making ‘headlines’ for certain people is not benefiting the manager, the team, the fans or any of the people who work at the club. They have all been through so much and this will not help.”
“I have read reports and stories, some that are factually wrong in cases, that are of no help to anyone. There are of course confidentiality agreements in place as standard practice and they need to be adhered to. Washing the clubs business in newspapers is not the professional way.”
“We will continue to work to secure the football club’s future. In the meantime, it would be far better in my opinion, that the team make the ‘headlines’, the manager and his staff have done a great job so far with the players and long may it continue.”

I agree. And to be honest I havent said much on all this recentley because it really isn't clear what the facts are, though I know other sites have ran their own versions of events, as have the trust.
What I would say is Deano was quite happy using Iles when he was after buying the club, with what appears to be a payday loan...

I think that he's having a pop at Ken, but Holdsworth should really keep his mouth shut until he's willing to invest some of his own money.officer_dibble wrote:I agree. Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
January is looking bigger and bigger now. And the issue we have (IMO) is the embargo, which seems unlikely to be close to being lifted during the month.
Forget money issues or ownership struggles, the form of some of our players means there may be big money coming in, money that is hard to turn down realistically as a league one club. Whilst normally this would be bad news, but at least provide funds to strengthen and try and maintain a promotion bid, in our situation, under embargo it really would be derailing. Even with the cash we'd not be able to use it. And simply would be weakening the squad and hoping we can loan another one or two at best.
I've been pretty patient with Ken et al, but I think questions need asking tonight (I'm away so can't make it) about why, an embargo that initially was going by May, still sits over us and sees no sign of going. I mean we know the mechanics of why, but given he and Dean own the club, we need to know why they can't sort it together in the short term or why Ken can't progress on his own with an agreement to buy Deano's shares.
If we keep everyone in January then being under embargo matters very little, as I assume we'd only be dealing in loans anyway without a cash injection. But should one or two be snapped up, the embargo would suddenly be a massive problem for Parky's plans I imagine.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
From Ken's programme notes, per BN.
There seems to be a great deal of media speculation and radio interviews taking place at the moment where the comments being aired are very wide of the mark.
I find it very disappointing that people who should know better are making speculative and misinformed comments and allegations.
At no time have I ever given Dean Holdsworth an ultimatum that unless he sells me his shares, that I would put the club and associated businesses into administration. What I actually asked Dean was if he would fund the business going forward pro rata to our shareholdings with me, but unfortunately he declined to do so.
I am fully aware that there is a great deal of other information that you would like to know now, including an update on the late filing of the accounts, the transfer embargo and my personal background, which I aim to be able to share with you all at the Q&A meeting tomorrow evening. I hope to see as many of you there as possible.

The financial issues at the moment are all down to Holdsworth & his Blumarble loan....

Q&A will be very interesting. Not going to make a round trip of 360 miles for it but very tempted. The latest BEN article suggests the deal with Holdsworth might not happen due to the Blumarble terms. It doesn't indicate there is an imminent solution to the issue. KA has said that if the deal doesn't happen there will be administration. Maybe the apparent agreement of DH to the deal changes that and KA and his backers will provide funding? A decision must be reached soon for we surely must have to submit statutory accounts and other paperwork very soon?

Well, KA refutes that he has threatened administration.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote:Q&A will be very interesting. Not going to make a round trip of 360 miles for it but very tempted.
