Absolutely! He became a Brit when he was only 22 so has spent about half his life there and all his adult life. Of course all this moving around will end once article 50 is enacted....Worthy4England wrote:Greg Ruzedski (?) - he was one of ours. Brit, through and through.

Feel sorry for this Dmitrov chap, surely there's no-one on the planet outside his friends and family who doesn't want him to lose and set up the Rafa-Fed final?

My hat's off to Andy Murray for a cracking display of fighting tennis. Looked really up against it with Fognini serving thunderbolts and making some great shots. Murray kept his cool and turned it round in the end. Great entertainment. Been following the Guardian commentary on line for the cricket and watching Murray and Jo Konta shine at Wimbledon. Shame for little Heather Watson who played really well against the Russian giantess, Averanka sp? .Went a set up but couldn't sustain it.

He's an absolutely brilliant match player no doubts about it.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 9:11 pmMy hat's off to Andy Murray for a cracking display of fighting tennis. He won't win it this year, too far behind some of the top players due to injuries sustained this year, but think he can make the semis at least. Maybe even runner up.
Konta could win it.
Re: Tennis, anyone.....?
She could but it's a bit absurd that she's clear favourite

She's a fighter which is good, and her service game is good.. All depends on her ability to cope with the thunderbolt siren screamers like Azarenka.

Jo Konta goes through but no easy ride. Won the first set but wasn't at the races in the second. Came good again and won.
Murray having a real tough time with Paire. He's two sets up but I'm not sure how. If he goes through he'll have to work on his frst serves. The number of them he missed is a real worry.

Re: Tennis, anyone.....?
Well, Andy boy got through but the scores don't really reflect how close it was . Paire was his own worst ememy at times with double faulting. Anyway, all's well in strawberry and champagne land right now.

Glad Muller won - there'd have been no justice in the world had Nadal won that one
Re: Tennis, anyone.....?
Crowd was terrible in that match.

Re: Tennis, anyone.....?
Just me perhaps, but I don't get the love for Nadal/Federer etc...
I'm happy for Murray to win because he's British and I've followed his career. But other than that I always root for the underdog. Don't get why the Wimbledon crowd are so keen on the same people winning every time....
