Bees are kewing up to sting us where it hurts. Brentford v BWFC 13/1/18 3pm

We are back on the Championship grind In South West London on Saturday for a tough looking game at Griffin Park.

Eleventh placed Brentford are one of the few teams to have better form than us since we found our Championship feet, and hammered us 3-0 at the Reebok earlier in the season. They are a great example of selling high and buying low, with huge amounts of money received in recent times for the likes of Scott Hogan, James Tarkowski, Andre Gray and Jota, amongst others. Some astute buys have jelled to keep them within reach of the play offs following a slow start, with £1.8m Ollie Watkins tipped to be the next big money departure. All of this has allowed online gambling entrepreneur and owner Matthew Benham to concentrate on improving facilities off the pitch with the new Lionel Road 17250 capacity stadium now having the go ahead despite initial objections from the nearby Kew Gardens.

For us we have issues in the midfield, just as we did for the game against them in September. Then a midfield of Cullen, Karacan and Morais were hopelessly outclassed as only missed chances prevented Brentford winning six or seven nil. For this game, Pratley is definitely out, Henry very doubtful, whilst Karacan hasn't been seen for months and Cullen is with West Ham. This could mean a Derik, Vela, Morais midfield, with only youngsters on the bench as cover.

Teams have had a break from league action for almost two weeks, experimental teams have been fielded in the FA cup 3rd round, and with the transfer window now open the season has entered into another phase, meaning another reset in momentum similar to those caused by the international breaks. This makes predictions hard, but I am struggling to see past a home win here. I was even more certain of a home win in the game at Sheffield Utd however, so COYW.

I'll be there. And funnily enough I'll be walking there past Kew Gardens. No idea if we'll win, I doubt it, but COYWM.

This one has crept up on me, so I haven’t bought a ticket. Anyone know if it’s pay-on-the-day? I saw a club tweet last night that we’d sold around 800 tickets so far.

A highly credible point here. 1-1. Madine for us after him having bar fights in all four corners of the ground. Lloyd Owusu for them.

Played for both clubs - Dean (That Miss) Holdsworth.

I'll be there, if I can get in and out of Chamonix on time after foolishly agreeing to transport a friend back to her ski lodge.

Thanks. Might have known it’d be more expensive.

They were very very good at our place and particularly remarkable given they were in the bottom 3 with us at the time.

We're a much different proposition now though. 2-1 win. Morais and Ameobi

Knowing our style I reckon a one goal game; just hope it's ours. (I could hope to be wildly wrong, of course) With the missing souls in white shirts it might be a tough call to expect much from this, but if we wear big hats with nets and carry smoke canisters, well, who knows what's to bee or not to bee?

Knowing THEIR style, it'll be a 4 goal game. In their favour

They create the most chances in the division and have the most shots on target in the division.

In case it’s of help to anyone, I’ve just bought a ticket at the lower price (& £1.50 booking fee) that I’ll collect at the ticket office tomorrow. Deadline of 2pm today to make the same arrangement.

Don't worry, if we should win he'll be the first to say "I knew we would" ....He's just getting his "Told you" ready just in case.

Reading a few comments around I'm thinking our defence is going to be the key factor today. They're the home side, but if we can keep them out we may just frustrate them into coming forward and giving us break opportunities. That said, it's all specualation, but good to know the new lad comes with Big Sam's help. As ever, midfield will be the hot spot.

Early dog walking out of the way (he'll be back at 4-45 looking for more) , some mild stretching of fingers and shoulder flexing; bit of breathing on the spot and, time to say " COME ON YOU WHITES...take it to em.... :oyea: :oyea:
