Well, we live in hope, so....Part Two could see us score three and take the points. Wish the game would start and put an end to this crap music on Tower. Absolute drivel....Anyway, here we go again...

We don't care about City or Bury. Back to daffodil land as Wheats replaces Burke . We get a throw and...break and...they clear. Peltier sends an ariel bomb, then we get a free kick. Robbo, then Beevers clears. Alf now and....Robinson trying but ref gives them a mysterious free kick? And....they get another as Dervite and Derik bully Chucky. And.....Hoylet and...we clear to Manga ho hits the bar....Sammi, Alf, Robbo and.....we win a corner. Morais and.....outswinger cleared to Vela. Morais and....gets another corner. Get in there lads, Morais and....they clear and win another free kick for a Newton. In and we clear, some back and forth till Benn grabs it and clears. Alf loses out to Morrison and....some chat and....some analysis about Parky, then....scores, then.......Robbo does well but loses out.

They get the rub via Rawles, Beavers clears, it goes back to Etheridge. Throw them and....we clear again for a throw them. And another as mic man rambles about City. Throw in and....Ben comes and bowls clear. Sammi, Robbo, and a deflection lets them clear well. Mic man reckons lucky bounces went to them. Bad pass from Henry, then some scores, then...some mither and we set off. Robbo, Sammi and....out of play. Morrison nudges Sammi out of it. Mean while.....Dervite, Morrison, Sammi, and we get a throw. Morais, Dervite, Alf and...Morrison kn ocks it out for a throw. Morais and..the keeper grabs. They sally, Wheats clears. Back they come and Rawles, Traore, Zahora....and a throw them. Ben clears. Sammi, Alf.....Sammi, Derik....and we get a throw. Morais, Sammi, Morais again and....Derik and....they clear for another throw to us.

And, Derik caught out by Henry and it ends a goal kick to them. If we could get a goal about now....Dervite, Alf, Sammi
......wins a free kick and...Henry and......Wheats and....Robbo loss out. Etheridge clears...Alf has a low scuffle shot across the goal. Are we awake? or at least stirring....Smmi does well, then Vela gets a free kick. Ben steps forth and....they clear and come at us...We get it, Vela breaks, Henry, Derik, Dervite.....Sammi.....and again. Robbo and....they get a throw. We go to Giggle Lane and back again, then.....some scores. Throw them. Some chat, then we clear and Derik gets a free. Morais and...they clear long to Hoylet. Dervite pings it, they ping it back. Beavers slides in dominently as Zac appears on the line.

Goal kick us as Derik leaves for Zac. Tactics? Up top with Alf. Mori=ais can't reach it and Wheats does well again as the ref gives un nothing. Sammi breaks, Zac ...and Sammi gives one away. Free kick us in our back quartwr, then Zac and Moria, Vela....we come again and.....ooohhh they clear. Dervite does well second challenge, then it goes through to Etheridge.

Wheats getting the good words....then they come and Hoylet sets up.?????.....who shoots wide... 16,013 crowd and then some chat of this and that. Hoyley brings another good save out of Ben. Come on Whites.....corner them, Ben wins it but they win it back. Robbo goes now and wins a free kick off Chucky. Some mither, Henry slips and they sally at us....we get back in numbers and it all ends back with Etteridge. We clear, Wheats, Robbo..crossed, Zac now, Henry, Wheats comes....back to Henry. Wheats, Dervite and.....Wheats wallops a bit long and....they get a goal kick

Chat and that, then some moans about Parky via that social stuff. Alf loses out. Doesn't sound like he's having a good night. Alf gets chopped, they clear and the ref is unimpressed. Zac back to Etteridge then.....Zaora gets razzled by Wheats as the homers moan. Come on you whites....free kick them and......mic man speculates doom as Morrison gets adored by him. And Peltier, goes back....Beevers, Henry, Ben......Alf and....Morrison wins it again. Alf get nothing....they get aound Ben but Wheats is in the way. Back they come and......sally. Ben catches it and....lashes one forth. Manga, Dervite, Morrison, Henry, Beevers.....Morai loses out. Pilkington appears for Traora.

Six mins to go and mentions of a last sub for us. Alf not been having much fun. We finally get a free kick as Walker strips off. Bad kick from Zac, wasted....COME ON WHITES.......COME ON......Walker on. Henry Vela, cleared...some scores as Sammi leaves for Walker. Morais and.....Henry shoves over Hoylet before he leaves for Bamba.

Some doom chat, then they get a free. Rawles and....in and.....Chucky gets in there. Alf breaks, ref gets in the way..Zac goes and Henry and...Morais and...there's nobody there. We clear again and..Zac, Robbo, they clear.......30 secs left......and...mic man chats...Robbo, Vela, they block and break.....and....mic man predicts wrongly. I think he might be a daffodil. Morais now and....we get a free kick. This game all about two soft goals again. Anyway, we stay where we are it seems and mic man speaks social chat. Time marching on and.....it's over. 2-0 down. Ah well, there's always another day...

Man of the match for us by far...Alnwick. Robinson tried. Ameobi needed help. ALF non existent, Kept on by the manager to prove a point maybe. Phil..despite his pre-match talk, seemed to have realised very early that we were no match and kept players on the bench who could have made a difference. Seemingly with an eye out for QPR. Not sure we had one shot on target.

View from the Cardiff City stadium away corner:
Utterly terrible.
We had zero presence up front, couldn't keep the ball in midfield, and couldn't defend basic set pieces at the back. Based on this we are in trouble.
To be fair, they looked a relegation team too for much of the game, but in the end they won without breaking sweat. We were actually having the better of play, and looked comfortable when they took the lead. Somehow Traore, their left sided attacker, managed to get a shot in from about six yards out, when he shouldn't have been able too. Before that Sean Morrsion had forced Alnwick into a good save from a clear header from a set piece, so it was pretty unforgivable that the same thing happened again just before half time, this time the rebound fell back to Morrison who slotted it in. The second half started with Cardiff again almost scoring from a set piece, then the game just drifted along, with them going close a couple of times more, and us not being able to string two passes together. All in all, this was reminiscent of our September performances. We were terrible.

We didn't manage an effort on target. Glad that we're "unpredictable now"bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 11:48 pmView from the Cardiff City stadium away corner:

This game was always a bonus, but our performance was so utter insipid that it just shows how easy we are to play against now.
If we don't sign a proper target man we'll go down. I'm confident in that prediction. You can't get away with playing this system week in week out. And there is currently no other viable system to play. As we've nobody to put up front to go to a 4-5-1.
The next two games are season defining. And I fear for us. WE NEED A PROPER FECKING STRIKER!!!!

Our season isn't won or lost away against promotion chasing sides. Do try and use a little measure here and there before setting to.

The next two games are absolutely crucial. In every sense. 4 points needed from them. So yes, losing to Cardiff not a surprise. The manner in which we lost though, was incredibly poor. Especially when you consider that only a few weeks ago we beat them comfortably at home.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 9:17 amOur season isn't won or lost away against promotion chasing sides. We cannot afford to go to QPR and be so poor. Because QPR will be a tough game but its one we absolutely must take something from.

Same as we had at Middlesbrough with Madine up top. Same as Cardiff had at our place when they were second in the league (we had two shots on target).BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 8:48 amWe didn't manage an effort on target. Glad that we're "unpredictable now"
It’s not like we’ve been peppering in shots all season. In all league games we’ve averaged 3.3 shots on target; away, that drops to 2.73 (with, for the record, 3.75 at home). But then, SoT is a fairly unreflective metric – particularly for a team who by the nature of the league, manager and players is going to tend toward smash-and-grab wins.
The most SoT we’ve had in an away league game this season was 5 at Wolves and Hull, in our biggest defeats. Despite last night’s dragging it down, our average SoT in away defeats is still 2.77, which is fractionally lower than the 2.8 in our drawn away games but higher than the mighty 2 registered at Bramall Lane in our sole second-tier away win of the Madine Era. I suppose that was unpredictable.

I completely agree (well, not necessarily that we "absolutely must take something" from Loftus Road, but it would certainly help). And it's perhaps interesting that Little was rested last night so should be back, while we've also got more strikers to rotate.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 9:34 amWe cannot afford to go to QPR and be so poor. We might just about stay up with home form but something has to shift in our away returns: it might not be coincidence that our only road win this season came with a half-changed team. At least now we have choices, in personnel and style. Previously, while looking at last night's defeat and pondering what to do next, we'd have resembled that scene in Blackadder Goes Forth:
Melchett: Now, Field Marshal Haig has formulated a brilliant new tactical plan to ensure final victory in the field.
Blackadder: Now, would this brilliant plan involve us climbing out of our trenches and walking slowly towards the enemy sir?
Darling: How can you possibly know that Blackadder? It's classified information.
Blackadder: It's the same plan that we used last time, and the seventeen times before that.
Melchett: E-E-Exactly! And that is what so brilliant about it! We will catch the watchful Hun totally off guard! Doing precisely what we have done eighteen times before is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time! There is however one small problem.
Blackadder: That everyone always gets slaughtered the first ten seconds?
