^ Nice interview with Wilberforce that by the way. He might not have been the option we needed at many points this season, but in many ways that's not his fault (if that makes sense) imo. Has had an amazing journeyman career when you look at it and a genuine bloke by the look of it too. If that's the last time he's seen in a Bolton shirt, it's a nice way to end it.

Wilbraham does seem like a real down to earth person. He seemed almost embarrassed when he was talking about himself and his fitness. I like him even if he hasn't been a great player for Bolton he has certainly stamped his mark on the club. I take my hat off to you.

Also mention the impact ALF had on the game when he was brought on. Scored one and set up the other two.

Audio of Jack Dearden's commentary for Albi's winner. Careful if you're using earphones.

That's why we love this game !! We could not have written this script! Unlikely hero AW and the bravery of PP to play him from the start to unsettle Forrest. And Alfie, fantastic!! Tears of joy. What a great feeling being a BWFC fan today! Congratulations all!!

Driving to the game today, I was wondering whether we'd get one of those one in a thousand games, the potential of which keeps us going to watch, much to the disbelief/confusion of those that don't follow football. As ever, I was hopeful that this would be 'the one'.

I was not disappointed. Absolutely incredible. What a fantastic game of football. Not necessarily the best in terms of quality, but in terms of entertainment, it was up there with the best. I put that game on a par with the 3-1 FA Cup away win at Arsenal in terms of sheer enjoyment.

Incredible how in the space of 10 minutes we can go from wondering whether they'll open the upper tears next year, to whether we'll be able to bring in new talent and who knows, even challenge for promotion?

It surely is a wonderful game.
Hope is what keeps us going.

Back in Brizzle now. If fist pumping at the wheel is a criminal offence I am in trouble.

I still can't process what happened in this game. 85mins gone, 2-1 down, on a bad run, with a 38 year old up front who I thought had only 60 minutes in him, having just thrown Wheater up there, and with Forest breaking on us at will and looking likely to score further goals, it looked impossible.

What a fecking crazy game!

Thanks for posting all those links, DSB.

Normally I'd have listened to the whole horror show unfold on Radio 5Live but I can't listen to that station for more than about 5 minutes without some eejit shouting THIS is the FIRST, BIGGEST, BEST football radio broadcast. Please give my ears a rest, you tosspots!

Most likely meant Fanny Moss's , oops, Victoria Pub/restaurant.

Edit. Fanny's was closed tonight so it looks like they had it booked for a party regardless.
