Think it's the 9th for perms and end of the month for loans.

I saw that too but I think it's just people putting two and two together. I have to say though, I be quite happy if we did sign him.

Funnily enough I thought we might be a good fit for Pennington. Wasn’t great for Leeds but a year older with more experience who knows.

It looks like Wigan now have first refusal on Everton loanees, so if we do get Pennington it'll be because they feel they have better options (they were heavily linked). Leeds also want him back, even though their fans don't.

So where are we now, by the way?
'Keeper, centre back, left back, centre mid and a striker short of where PP ideally wants to be and Keeps, left back, centre mid and striker away from his stated target?

Yes I think Goalie, LB, CM and ST based on what Parky has said. I don't think we need another CB unless either we don't see Wilson as a CB, or we are getting rid of one of our existing CB's. I think Parky will loan out Hall if he gets another ST.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 8:55 pmSo where are we now, by the way?

All in all imho the Murphy signing was excellent and vital, and we are now looking pretty good. If we get the above I see mid table on the horizon.

1GK: Alnwick,
3CB: Wheater, Beevers, Hobbs,
3RB: Olki, Little, Darby,
2LB: Taylor, Wilson?
2DM: Lowe,Murphy,
2AM: Vela, Oztumer,
2RW: SAmeobi, Noone
2LW: Wildschut, Buckley,
3ST: Magennis, Donaldson, ALF,
Plus Connor Hall and maybe Pritchard.
Why go for Pennington (who Leeds fans don't rate) on loan when Mancienne is around on a free?

Predicted West Brom XI (4-4-2):
----------------Johnstone---------------------
Nyom----- Bartley----Hegazy------Gibbs
Phillips---Livermore --Brunt------Barnes
----------------Morrison------------------
-------Rondon/Rodriguez------
----------------------------------VS-------------------------------
--------------------Alnwick----------------
Olkowski----Wheater-----Beevers----Taylor
-------------Lowe----------Murphy-----------
-----Ameobi--------Vela-------Wildschut------
------------------Magennis---------------------
You do know Cranie isn't our player, hasn't got a contract and therefore isn't eligible to play for us tomorrow right??? Nyom will start at RB, Morrison in the 10 role, Barnes on the wing and Brunt in CM (where he's played EVERY match under Darren Moore!!) Also very little chance that HRK will start ahead of Rondon or Rodriguez!!

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
In a deluge of non-stories - Parky's squad has changed, Parky will still be on the sidelines, Hobbs doesn't like being injured - designed to hype up the season, the Bolton News has exclusively revealed that Connor Hall is not up to starting at championship level and will likely go out on loan.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
I know Jay DaSilva is highly rated at Chelsea, and certainly on reputation is considered a better player than Antoneeeeee. I've never actually seen him play, but he seems like exactly the sort of guy we need in on loan.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Charlton player of the year, described as better than Ashley Cole at same age (20) by Lee Bowyer.
Midget at 5ft 6in and 64kg but turns quick and good on the ball.
I really want whoever we get at left back to be better than that turncoat Darth Vader at Wigan.
And everyone to know it too.

We would seem a good fit for him, so I hope our pal the 'super' agent has got the feelers out.mullayo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:09 amCharlton player of the year, described as better than Ashley Cole at same age (20) by Lee Bowyer.

Someone mentioned Derby but Lampard already has Mt Mason the future of English football from Chelsea already.The_Gun wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:43 amWe would seem a good fit for him, so I hope our pal the 'super' agent has got the feelers out.mullayo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:09 amCharlton player of the year, described as better than Ashley Cole at same age (20) by Lee Bowyer.

Could be 2 in today.
Lee Camp apparently the backup keeper.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
I watched Jay Dasilva a number of times last term at T' Valley against League One opposition. He was as good going forward as Alonso but not as good at defending and defence wasn't Alonso's strength. He cost Charlton a home goal against Shrewsbury in the playoff semi final first leg and that was their goose cooked.

What 2 new players?
How exciting! Hope they're released bargains like Murphy.
How come "Lee Camp apparently the backup keeper." comes up when I reply to you?

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Lee Camp. I checked his stats. Last year he singlehandedly - should have used two - dragged Underland down.
12 games and conceded 22 goals basically 2 a game.
He won one game,lost 7 drew 4.
Based on that. If he'd played all 44 games they'd have 25.7 points. Round it up to 26 if you like it's still sh*te.
He's six foot tall and 33.
What's Anderson thinking? That Camp and Wilson can bring the Blunderland magic back!
We had young Walker in house and let him... Y'know... It was in his name. Don't ignore him for a month and hope he stays...
