We've given Leeds two reasonable games. Never really looked like winning either of them but on another day could have got two points.
Our lack of goals and creativity means we're relying on getting enough 1-0 wins and 0-0, 1-1 draws to stop up. It ain't happening.

Funny one. Well beaten in one sense - they had all the ball secod half and if it went for Remi keeping us in it we could have been out of sight. Having said that they aren’t all that and grinding out a point wasn’t such an improbability...Magennis missed two chances an average championship forward would have buried.
The results a fair reflection on the game...but what might have been. A common thread, I guess.
I did chuckle at Parky though - he was angling for that all game - he spent a lot of time outside his technical area and generally looked a righ d1ckhead. Got what he deserved.

If the takeover is as near as they say was that Parkys last act yesterday?

He was acting like a man who knew he'd lost control.
Game over. Gonna take some serious blagging to get back into management with stats like this season.

I was sat right behind Parky - he spent the whole game outside his technical area moaning to the ref - Alioski, as he usually does, did a right number on him/us, reminiscent of campo and el hadji diouf with his theatricals. Worked to a tee. He has lost it.

It would be very quick indeed.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Feb 24, 2019 11:08 amIf the takeover is as near as they say was that Parkys last act yesterday?
For a start, the due diligence and paperwork might take a while – can you imagine tidying up Ken's office? Iles says it "might" complete this week, but it would take a lot of ducks to line up for Parky to be gone. Ken/Deano flicked Lennon five days after the Press Association announced completion of the takeover.
Our remaining fixtures are:
Sat 02/03 Swansea (A)
Sat 09/03 MILLWALL (H)
Tue 12/03 SHEFF WED (H)
Sat 16/03 Wigan (A)
(International week)
Sat 30/03 QPR (A)
Sat 06/04 IPSWICH (H)
Tue 09/04 BORO (H)
Sat 13/04 Derby (A)
Fri 19/04 VILLA (H)
Mon 22/04 Blackburn (A)
Sat 27/04 BRENTFORD (H)
Sun 05/05 Forest (A)
I would guess Parky will be in situ (and possibly situ-ing in the stands) for next Saturday's trip to Swansea, knowing that even a win might not save him. But after that comes a humungous three-game week of winnable fixtures - Millwall home, Wednesday home, Wigan away - which Warby might see as the perfect time to launch a safety drive, with an international break thereafter to work on tactics and, dare I say, do a Solskjaer.
But!! Long way to go yet. Christ knows what skeletons lurk in Ken's cupboard.

FA tweet:
Furthermore:
For Champo clubs, the "standard penalty" for "mass confrontation" (rule E20) is £5,000. If unsuccessfully appealed, it rises to £7,500. Interesting choice for #BWFC: who's at the wheel? How aggrieved are they? Who pays?Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers have been charged following their EFL Championship fixture on Saturday [23 February 2019]. It is alleged that they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 69th minute.
Furthermore:
For this (rule E3) the standard penalty in Champo is £2k, rising to £3k on unsuccessful appeal – plus one-match touchline ban (rising to two on unsuccessful appeal) if it includes "Abusive/Insulting Language".In addition, Phil Parkinson has also been charged with misconduct in relation to his behaviour in the 69th minute. Both clubs and the Bolton manager have until 18:00 on 01 March 2019 to respond to the charge.

How does one ( an outside agency, ie, the club) insure that one (all of the team actually) won't lose one's temper when confronted by abuse, assault or threatening behaviour? Did anybody get hurt beyond having Lucozade squirted down their neck? Poor move by the F.A for me. A reprimand at worse.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 11:18 amFA tweet:Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers have been charged following their EFL Championship fixture on Saturday [23 February 2019]. On a matchday, the club is responsible for the public conduct of its players and officials. They're professionals in front of a paying public and they should behave as such. I'm guessing most folks wouldn't be happy if any kids watching that started squirting water at each other and squaring up. I'd wager most on this forum have at some time or other called the FA weak or complained that footballers should grow the f*ck up.
It may be six and two threes, it may be that Leeds "started it", but our conduct was disorderly, and thus we should be fined. Just as a striker who retaliates to a foul will get a card, both teams will be punished; the FA doesn't need to decide who's wronger.

I’m convinced Parky said something, or it was accumulation of him being in the officials ears all game. Isn’t he liable for his own fine or do the club pick that up?

I was always liable for parking fines on the company's car..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:36 pmI’m convinced Parky said something, or it was accumulation of him being in the officials ears all game. Isn’t he liable for his own fine or do the club pick that up?

To continue the analogy, I'm pretty sure that Parky will be asking the local authorities to review footage to show he merely pulled up momentarily to try and stop an out of control oncoming car from both crashing and subsequently parking illegally...Enoch wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:44 pmI was always liable for parking fines on the company's car..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:36 pmI’m convinced Parky said something, or it was accumulation of him being in the officials ears all game. I once got out of a car and asked a warden that was issuing a ticket to a car parked across the road where the nearest pay machine was; he very kindly pointed me at one. When I went back to the car later the f*cker had given me a ticket. I hadn't noticed the bay I was in was for residents only.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 3:30 pmTo continue the analogy, I'm pretty sure that Parky will be asking the local authorities to review footage to show he merely pulled up momentarily to try and stop an out of control oncoming car from both crashing and subsequently parking illegally...Enoch wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:44 pmI was always liable for parking fines on the company's car..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:36 pmI’m convinced Parky said something, or it was accumulation of him being in the officials ears all game. I bet he had a right ol' giggle back at the office with his fellow wardens. It's an incident that has clouded my view of the buggers ever since.

I'm pretty sure Parkinson will be joining you in that opinion quite soon, analogously of courseEnoch wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 4:27 pmI once got out of a car and asked a warden that was issuing a ticket to a car parked across the road where the nearest pay machine was; he very kindly pointed me at one.
