Who will own BWFC come kick off?
Will they have a pot to piss in?
Will Parky go two up top?

Massive game tonight. Hopefully the players will be up for it, despite the payment issues.

If "he" says Wednesday on Tuesday he means Thursday..possibly?..."He" won't be there anyway; he'll be working out how not to pay this week's wages. Meanwhile, power to the lads and let's capitalise on Saturday's win. We "CAN" score goals.....an amazing 3-1 to us with theirs coming in the 93rd minute via a goalkick. COME ON YOU WHITES

Say we go 1 down tonight - flukey deflection, whatever. What’s the motivation for the players to get back in it?

Professional pride. The knowledge that the present owner will surely be gone soon. The desire not to have a(nother) relegation on their CV. The knowledge that the vast majority of the squad are out of work in summer, and they've more chance of keeping their job if they avoid relegation. Love of the club. Love of the manager. Annoyance.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 12:27 pmSay we go 1 down tonight - flukey deflection, whatever. What’s the motivation for the players to get back in it?

Have to say, Dibble, on seeing the way our 'volunteers' celebrated the goals on Saturday, there's clearly a hell of a lot of pride amongst them. How much of that has ebbed away given this week's shenanigans I don't know though.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 12:27 pmSay we go 1 down tonight - flukey deflection, whatever. Yep - it’s very honourable and much respect. what if millwall has scored first though, would we have got back into it? Moot point I guess given we struggle coming from behind anyway / but it does frustrate me that the players are in this situation again.

All about belief, confidence and attitude more than ever. If ever there was a turning-point, milestone, mountain-climbing match, tonight is surely it. One of the toughest ask ever considering the odds against. Still no wages issue sorted whatever he's done or not done for the club, K.A is playing with people's lives on his own behalf now. He could send the team in on a real high by signing his name. Do it Ken......

"Struggle" is one word for it, Dibs.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 1:12 pmYep - it’s very honourable and much respect. what if millwall has scored first though, would we have got back into it? • We've gone behind (either first goal or following an equaliser) 26 times this season, a total only topped in this division by Villa (27), Rotherham (27), Ipswich (29) and Millwall (30).
• From those 26 occasions, we've scored equalisers just five times. This recovery percentage (5/26) of 19.2% is the lowest in the division; interestingly for Saturday, Wigan are second-bottom with 25% – top three are Norwich, Villa and Leeds.
• The five equalisers were Preston A, Rotherham A, Norwich A, Reading H, Leeds A. One home equaliser all season.
If we fall behind tonight and don't equalise, it can hardly be described as unusual and thus ascribed to the lack of payment.
Oh and in case anyone thinks more comebacks might be engineered by a charismatic, angry manager: the Football League's worst comeback team, who have given away the lead 15 times and only equalised twice: Fleetwood.

Again, not bothered about the result. If the players repeat the effort from Saturday with what has been going on then that'll do for me. I really think the club is slowly becoming a team again. Us v the bastard.
Give it your all lads.

Fletcher was a doubt for them. Unfortunately he's starting, along with that big feck* Nuhiu. Could be a real handful

Fletcher AND Nuhiu? Steve Bruce, ladies and gentlemen.
Matthews; Olko, Hobbs, Beevers, Lowe; O'Neil, Connolly, Williams; Ameobi, Magennis, Noone

Wing backs, eh? Good. Happy to see Buckley dropped, he was absolutely anonymous on Saturday. Noone has looked decent as a left wing back, so, although Taylor possibly feels a bit hard done by it's a decent switch by Parky.

D'you think it's wingbacks? Could be, I suppose - back three of Hobbs/Beevers/Lowe, Olko and Noone wide, O'Neil/Connolly/Williams in the middle and Sammy floating off Magennis. Still think it's marginally more likely to be a 4-3-3 but we'll see. Anyone at the ground, were the defence warming up as a four or a five?Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 7:35 pmWing backs, eh? And away we go......Sammi rolls the dice.....
Thought they may have put Wheats in the middle with that big unit of theirs but....anyway, we have scores already and then......the visitors sally, we clear and...we have a free kick. Plenty wind in the Unibol apparently, and....a good bounce sets us off and we get a corner after a Magennis shot. And....headed out and....Roots? gets decked by Williams, they get the free kick.
