Science, Experiment, and the failure of Reality.

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

It just looks blurry. Like a picture from a phone using maximum zoom.

Very photoshopped. Badly photoshopped. And then colourised. Poor effort. One out of five.
A week's worth of anticipation just because some PR bod thought he can get a better wage somewhere else...

Love is a burning thing and it makes a fiery ring
Bringing me the wild desire I fell into a ring of fire
I fell into into the burning ring of fire
I fell down down down down into the deepest fire
And it burns burns burns burns the ring of fire the ring of fire
The ring of fire

So, today, in The Times, to illustrate the article regarding the first ever release of an image of a black hole, they use 'An artist's impression'. You couldn't make it up!

And it now seems we must all celebrate 'the genius' behind the massive Photoshop.
A woman, hence the furious PC effort, and the spin doctor usage of 'genious'.
She wrote a fxcking algorithm - continuous high-resolution image reconstruction using patch priors - a quite routine algorithm, hardly genius!
In her own words: (after four teams were given the same raw data, and used her algorithm  ) "I saw all the other teams had images that were very similar, with the lower half brighter than the top half".

Biased. The scientists pictured are all quite clearly young, white, and male. You even have Adolf Hitler stood to the left, overseeing the discovery. It can't be true. :P

Nah, Spotty, cannot be him - there is a couple of blokes having a smooch in there. I suppose though that it is possible that they were digging their own grave?

Yet more hints that new physics is required. Not only is dark matter unaccounted for, but dark energy doesn't act sensibly:

For interfering in matters that don't concern you, ie managing the universe, I'm withdrawing your Blue Peter Badge, Star Wars Jedi identity, Galaxy Telescope and all your Scout woodcraft and first-aid awards. Please return your woggle (post-paid) at your earliest convenience along with membership cards of The Famous Five and Secret Seven societies. Your behaviour is unacceptable. I hope this teaches you a lesson... :spank: :spank:

Yet another one of Stephen Hawking's theories about to bite the dust:
https://www.livescience.com/65300-hawki ... ikely.html

Which leaves just one left - that black holes evaporate - and even that, his first, best, most well-known theory which established his so-called 'genius' status, hasn't been proved correct yet either.

That might explain all those 0.5 magnitude earthquakes rattling Lancashire to the ground of late!

Nah, that's Theresa May banging her head on a table at the same time Tom Watson stomps out of a Labour NEC meeting.
