I still call It the coca-cola cup.Prufrock wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 3:39 pmAye, though tbf this is its proper name (the Sherpa Van equivalent would be to call it the leasing.com Trophy which we, quite rightly IMO, have not).Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 3:29 pmJust so I know where I'm up to, this is basically the Sherpa Van under a different name, right?
That's a q for aging people though. What were the EFL Cup and EFL Trophy first called when you heard of them?
Coca-cola and LDV Vans, for me.

He was in some pain, just pulled up not in a tackle or anything. I’m guessing ligaments. fecking cunty luck again.

I should be chuffed at seeing a win again but that late injury really was a kick in the bollocks. Unbelievable how unlucky we're being with injuries. In the 90th minute of a nothing match as well.

I was nicely chuffed and concentrationg on some work when I got the text to spoil the evening... poor old Ali... and the question is, who do we play there now? Unless we take an absolute flier on Politic, I can only think of Luke Murphy...

Luke Murphy’s already playing instead of Bridcutt.
We’ve got Chris O Grady/Murphy/Politic/Verlinden/Dodoo
FWIW Sonny Graham
Was further forward than Crawford in the second half, so I think he will start Saturday. He doesn’t look like a goal scorer to me. It’s the set pieces we will miss the most though.

Has to be Politic for me. Crawford was really coming into his own and of the players we have left in reserve, I think Dennis is the closest thing to himDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 9:26 pmI was nicely chuffed and concentrationg on some work when I got the text to spoil the evening... poor old Ali... and the question is, who do we play there now? Marc Iles says Ali says he twisted his knee but didn't hear the pop.

Crawford's injury really has put a pisser n what was otherwise a very decent evening. Just hoping it's nothing like as bad as it looked.
O'grady - I was questioning his contribution then he pops up with a hell of a finish, then adds another for the measure. If he'd like to carry on similarly etc. etc.
Well done our boys at the back in reducing City to half chances

I thought Graham and Lowe, with Murphy assuming Crawford's position, would be the most likely combination but Hill in his post-match interview suggested he'll go with O'Grady "as a number ten".

Seemed to work with Zouma. Maybe it's not just last night's game but what he's also seen in training with regards to Weir? Only KH and Weir will know. Agreed about the way in which he's done it though. Who knows, maybe he'll get a decent response from him. And I don't mean "cram it up your crimper boss"

Was Weir really that bad last night for those who went? He didn’t seem to be having any worse a game than say Luke Murphy (who played well in the second half after he gave the ball away near our box!).
I think the game is free up squad places in Jan, but we’ve a lot of football to play before then (minus Bridcutt and now Crawford for all of it).
