Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm
Time we started talking about his lot.
But first, a previous game that kickstarted a season. Can you name the lads who scored four at the seaside (with another two disallowed)? https://www.sporcle.com/games/GaryParki ... twood-2017

Be nice to grind out a home result in trying circumstances. Fingers crossed Wright is fit. Earls definitely out I think. Hobbs presumably is in the Alnwick vortex of not existing in this dimension. There’s goals in O Grady and Murphy though which is something we’ve not had for a long time!

Fleetwood Cack!... Good job Bobo isn't here, he'd have your kippers for breakfast. Stevie Nicks was saintly....

If we have the two young lads together in central defence (Zouma & Senior), then IMO it will be similar to the Rochdale game and we will lose. However, if we can get either Hobbs, Wright or Earl back to partner Zouma then I think that we now have enough up front now with Murphy, O'Grady & Dodoo (even without the creativity of Crawford) to get at least a draw or a closely fought win - Fleetwood are a decent side at this level.
I'll be really disappointed with Hill though if we have the two young lads together again at CB, I like the way & appreciate that he's trying to play better football & its refreshing after what we have put up with under PP, he rightly moans about the injuries stacking up but his reluctance (and I appreciate that we don't know the full embargo details etc) to at least try to bring in replacements or replacement even just until January with all of these injuries is quite annoying.

He might well be trying Bertie. Although if he were I suspect he'd have told us about it at great length!

We can just sign people and expect them to be fit now anyway, certainly not good ones.

Tough game tomorrow. They're a decent side and their opening day hammering of Capt Beever's lads showed what they're capable of. I can see another draw but the optimist in me says it's a narrow win with Hilly getting chinned by an outraged Joey Barton.
2-1
2-1

With Crawford being out its essential that Lowe plays in midfield, therefore we need one of the experienced CB's back to partner Zouma, as I posted earlier if its Senior & Zouma together Ched Evans will have a field day and it'll be 3 or 4 to them.
I actually expect Wright or Hobbs to play, in which case we will have a chance of a result tomorrow.

Darryl Murphy's goal is a good one. I'll put them on at half time.

They sound to be having a lot of opportunities compared to us? Are our defence struggling?

That first half only goes to show just how desperately we'd been needing to get players in and around the penalty area. It makes a huge difference.

I'm giving the Murphy goal 10-10 for difficulty. Oh the pipes of the Kerry Dancers...
