They nicked our elephant....V Coventry away, 08-02-2020
Done all the naked Lady Godiva's on co-op horses to death, so lets have the skirmish of the elephants. High flying Coventry invite the Whites to battle.Right now they are fifth on goal difference (equal fourth bar that) and we are, er... somewhat lower. Things can change....

Re: They nicked our elephant....V Coventry away, 08-02-2020
We will need to have improved again since last weekend to be competitive in this one, but that's entirely possible with a full week of training to bed in the new recruits. Cov also had to play extra time and penalties on Tuesday which can only be seen as a negative in my mind.
Ultimately just giving a good account of ourselves in a close defeat would probably be viewed as a success by most of our fans, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say 1-2 to the Super Whites. COYWM!

No idea if it's true but I was told we'd nicked their elephants. We copied their towns symbol when we were in the same diocese? Must have been big dioceses (diocsars?) in them days.
Any road, after passing a late fitness test I've decided to go tomorrow. The last time I went to St Andrew's, David Reeves scored, so I think I'm due a visit.
They, and the bookies, are expecting a walk over for the sky blues. I'm expecting an early Dennis Politic strike and then a courageous backs to the wall performance and a 1-0 win

Exactly. And they're a bunch of weaklings who can stew in their own juice according to Keef.

"Wanderers gave some game time to new additions Jacob Mellis and Ryan Delaney in the Under-23s on Monday night, along with the recovering Joe Bunney. All three are still slightly short of being considered for a first team start, as it stands.
Another new arrival, Tottenham winger Anthony Georgiou, is also unavailable for Saturday with the player still dealing with his parent club’s medical staff over a minor injury sustained whilst on loan with Ipswich Town."

They had a cup game mid-week that went to extra time and pens. I think we're good for at least a point.

Last night's game didn't do much for that line of reasoning...TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:47 pmThey had a cup game mid-week that went to extra time and pens. I think we're good for at least a point.

They've lost 1 game at home, we've won 1 away. Dead cert 3-2 away win.

Only 5 of last night's starting XI played on Tuesday. Doubt Cov will have that luxury.

Unchanged XI. Mellis, Delaney and Hobbs on the bench, along with Bunney, Dodoo and Faal.

Did you know that Birmingham has more canals than Venice? Sadly, the drive in, did not remind me of Venice in the slightest. I have found a free parking spot right outside the ground though. Hopefully that's a positive sign.

Told ya,
Absolutely disgusting defending by Nsiala. I mean ridiculously disgusting defending. fecking no mans land. Darryl Murphy gives the ball away up front, they run through, cross to Bakayoko who is on his own in the penalty area.
1-0 Coventry.

One of them days, too many individual errors so far. Gonna get humped if they carry on like this. Fleming getting ripped a new one at left back.

Time to pull a Bunney out of the hat?
In seriousness - we now have a squad with a strong bench, and a manager with (let's say) the courage of his convictions. Early substitutions are not off the menu.
