A trip to Micky D's: MK Dons (A), Sat 22 Feb 2020, 3pm

A trip to Micky D's: MK Dons (A), Sat 22 Feb 2020, 3pm

Post by Dave Sutton's barnet » Fri Feb 21, 2020 6:39 pm

And lo, it came to pass (usually to the opposition) that Keith's kobbled-together krew must visit the mightiest of new towns, Milton Keynes. Keynesian economics suggest that output is influenced by demand, but the demands Hill has placed on players (not to mention shorthand-takers) haven't really worked so far. After a brief autumnal surge, climaxing in a 93rd-minute home winner from Daryl over MK Dons, Bolton entered positive points and were just 12 points from safety with three games in hand - but the following week at Accrington, the wheels came off, went through puddles of petrol, bounced off a wall back through the car window and exploded.

So what happens tomorrow? At one point I'd fondly imagined it might be the day we reeled the panicking franchisers ever closer. No such chance now, but a win would help. We have to finish this season on a high.

I'll be there, with The Legendary Flanners. Who else will?

I'm not going tomorrow. Saving myself for Tuesday, plus it's much nearer.

It's odd to think that after the home fixture against this lot, we felt like we were still in with a shot of survival. Our recent poor run of away form cant continue. Can it?

1-0 win to the Wanderers. Mellis with a Trotter esque long range.

Is this a "must win" or have we gone past that?!

I really don't see how Hill (or anyone else for that matter) can motivate these players now. We're going down and most of them are out of work at the end of the season. Can only hope that they try to turn it on individually in a shop window-esque manner, and at least put on some sort of a show for those travelling to the most soul-sapping city in Britain (trust me, I worked at Kiln Farm for three years)
May the bridges I burn light your way

Matthews, Lowe, Nsiala, Hobbs, Fleming, Murphy (L), Hamilton, Crawford, Mellis, Politic, Murphy (D)

Substitutes: Alexander, Emmanuel, Bunney, Delaney, O'Grady, Dodoo, Graham

Crawford, Mellis and Politic. Nice.

I'd have thought it'd be too early to start Crawford, to be honest. Then again, Hill hasn't given much of an indication that he's bothered by that kind of thing.

Lots of huff and puff.

Not the best game to watch.

Worse than that.

By the sounds of it I think it's more "must we bother?".

I think Crawford needs protecting. He's slowing down.

I'd say he's entering the danger zone for injury.

1 down,

Dennis Politic, lightweight in midfield loses possession they counter and score.

Absolutely typifies our season.

Defo in the last on out, turn off the lights mould of a season. Never expected us to avoid relegation but maybe a little fight...

MK Dons are woeful and we've just lost again.
We're going down as the worst team in the league by far.

When you think it can't get any worse.

F.V. Whatever Hill said in his interview then it's clearly bollocks.

Living off a limited reputation. Whatever it is it isn't working here. The team is getting worse every game. There are no glimmers of hope of a turn around.

Look at every player out there today and tell me they were any better than when we started with Hill.

The team is depressed and it's depressing to watch. If the team was a dog you'd put it down.

absolutely spineless performance. I was hoping for a glimmer of hope before the end of the season but it gets worse every week.
