Brewer's Droop - Burton Albion (A), 7:45pm, Tuesday, 10/03/20

Post by TonyDomingos » Mon Mar 09, 2020 10:00 pm

They've only won twice in their last ten (Southend & MKDs), but the chances of us getting anything here look slim unless we can grind out another 0-0.

Matthews, Lowe and Murphy(D) all doubtful.

Hill says, "If we can continue to repeat the stability of the clean sheets and make better attacking decisions, then we can use it as a foundation going forward." In other words, don't concede, score, win. Can't argue with that. The fella's a football genius.

Played them 4 times in our history and lost every one. We're weaker now than in any of those previous meetings.

1-0 win. Politic.

Anyone going?

Well at least you got the date format right.

How the hell can anyone hope to find an old match thread if folk type in all kinds of nonsense!

Loving the 'Brewer's Droop'.

I was born in Burton upon Trent (well, Rolleston on Dove to be precise) and for many years Burton were my non-league interest. To such a point that for a few years I'd make the Boxing Day effort of seeing them play in their local derby match versus Tamworth. And now fecking look at us! :( 4-0 to them, Hill to talk a pile of shit post match.

Back three, unless Kwan Bryan is in midfield.

Didn’t realise we were playing until now. Luke Murphy captain. That’s another low.

Bryan started in midfield the last time he played, although that was at home and Hamilton was on the bench.

We’ve scored twice. Away from home. I’m giddy.

For the first time in a long time, Hamilton looks like the player who made his debut at Rochdale. Having Crawford back makes a huge differences as well. And I like the look of Delaney.

I'll probably be in the minority on this, but - white shirt, white shorts > white shirt, navy blue shorts.
