Stories of squares of newspaper cut up and threaded on a piece of string to be hung on a a nail in the outside loo as ass-wipes, all seem very chuckle-worthy today. I'm hearing tales of people panic buying booze now. I'd better get among them
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: General Chit Chat
Might be down to the rumours that supermarkets are cutting back on deliveries of booze to free up space on the trailers for other goods Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 2:05 pmI'm hearing tales of people panic buying booze now. I'd better get among them

Some of them seemed to be rationing how much of each booze product you could buy...They don't even do that at Christmas!Hoboh wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 2:42 pmMight be down to the rumours that supermarkets are cutting back on deliveries of booze to free up space on the trailers for other goods Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 2:05 pmI'm hearing tales of people panic buying booze now. Anyone that's running short of booze, have a word with your local landlord. Likely he'll have plenty spare he'd like to shift.

It's pretty fecked up.
Hope you're all doing ok.
The sunny side of me likes to think that everyone is working to worst case scenarios and whilst it's still obviously terrible it won't be as bad as we fear.
Got to plan and act for the worst though. Places like this are also going to be v important as people are stuck at home with their thoughts. Let's be good to each other.

Morrison’s Harwood has closed for refurb for three days. Opens again tomorrow I think. Might be worth going first thing if desperate as presumably they will be stocked...but I’d get there for opening.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 8:22 pmFirst delivery slot available on Tesco - 7th April. All the fcuking panic buyers. Wankers to a man (and woman).
Re: General Chit Chat
Panic buyers, or those who could see what was going to happen a few weeks ago? Not had the need to queue nor take up vital delivery slots from the needyWorthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 9:04 amNot that desperate - had a delivery incoming this morningBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 11:08 pmMorrison’s Harwood has closed for refurb for three days. Oh dear, oh dear. All this talk of shutting down the UK supercentre of the virus, London and shutting schools. I'd guess the locals in Devon/?Cornwall and a few other places won't welcome tomorrows exodus of people, some of whom they've never seen, down to their holiday homes, going to cause some massive resentment.
