Can we be-a-tad little shellfish and make this the U-turn of the season? Colchester United Away 19th Sep 2020 15:00pm

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Back to football. There is legal precedence that someone who can't attend a game for which he or she has bought a season ticket does not get their money back; that legal precedent was set in a case won by Bolton Wanderers FC back in the days when everyone wore hats.

I might well be being dim here, but what's this a reference to?

BWFC were sued for compensation, back in like 1910 or summat, by an ST holder who couldn’t make one or more of the games. He lost, BW won, precedent set, clubs have been secure since that the ST money they get will not leak away.

Athertonian - sorry mate I can’t help, I’ve just been watching on laptop as so far I’ve been either abroad or working. But this Saturday I’m not, so I’m interested too...

Whilst we're on the topic of i follow, what is required to watch the game. I have a firestick where I can access i follow but the Colchester game wouldn't work as many found out. The Forest Green game was ok but that buffered quite a lot. As a Season ticket holder I have the pass for the Newport game but I do believe i need a laptop and a HDMI cable? is this so, or can I access via some other way. What exactly will I require.
If you want to watch it on a tv you need a hdmi connection for your laptop. Or you could screen mirror off an I pad or similar I suspect but I’ve not done this.

I would recommend logging on early. I missed the first 10 minutes of Saturday due to trying to start the stream at five to three.

I would recommend logging on early and turning the sound off, otherwise you get the world's most incredulous man shouting in a Boltonian accent so strong it makes Peter Kay sound like Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Interesting. I never knew that.

I found out on Saturday that it's possible to switch between home and away match commentaries. It's hardly ideal, but BBC Radio Essex were certainly more competent than Bolton FM are.

After the Colchester log-in debacle I've just entered my code for Saturday good and early. Nae bother. :)

Now to ponder the possibilities regarding which matchday snacks to have.

In truth, I purposely haven't touched a drop since we got sent home in March. Nothing quite like being a Wanderer to test the old resolve though is there?! :D
