My concern is Gordon is an athlete who can kick a football, and doesn’t have a football brain.

2-1....
Darcy FK wide left, knocked to far post and headed back across, Senior bundles it home. #OneOfOurOwn

Mascoll's about to come on, which is interesting
For Lockett, which is odd
Think Mascoll's going left-wing, Darcy right-wing, Gnaouha up top?

Odd as the team looked to settle into the system, Mascoll almost presents goal number 3 for Shrewsbury by going down in installments.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:02 pmMascoll's about to come on, which is interesting

Another good set-piece, again involving Greenidge (who got the assist), but Gnahoua heads wide - should at least ask a question there

Same 3-4-3, just switching the front prongsDJBlu wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:05 pmOdd as the team looked to settle into the systemDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:02 pmMascoll's about to come on, which is interesting

Referee helping us out there.
Greenidge bumbling the Shrewsbury striker over in the 18 yard box. Gives a Bolton free kick. Cheers ref.

Sooner we get Miller back to fitness the better. Glad he wasn’t risked here to be honest.

I’m not one to rush into judgements on players after only a couple of games but Greenidge will not be playing professional football next season. I admire the approach Evatt and Phoenix are taking with data driven recruitment but there’s a reason the lad was playing in the Norwegian third tier - he’s not very good.
Just checked, dear god we gave him a 2 year deal

I thought Gnahoua has been playing well this half.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:12 pmSooner we get Miller back to fitness the better. Glad he wasn’t risked here to be honest.

The highlight when he dispossessed our player and passed it to the Shrewsbury keeper.

ooh Hickman fires just over in the last seconds of the 90 after a decent bit down the right. 3 added minutes
Which I suppose made him Jak in the box, which would make their goalkeeper Burgoyne onomatopeic

eeh another chance - Darcy with a lovely cross, falls to Mascoll right-footed and he slashes wildly

Game was lost in the 1st half. Competed well in the 2nd but the lack of depth is quite worrying.
Glad Senior got his goal, We can now forget about another cup and get on with climbing the league.

From the sound of things, we haven't done too badly here. We've put out a "weakened" side, missing a number of the players you would expect to see starting on Saturday, against a team in the league above. We've shot ourselves in the foot to concede twice in the first half, but otherwise have matched Shrewsbury and really should be at least level. Fair comments?
