I’d throw Darcy on for Crawford, nothing to lose now.

I agree with the criticism of Crawford. He's just a void in midfield for too much of the game. Last person you want alongside a youngster making his debut.

Bollocks
Last thing we need is another lightweight you young lad on. I think GT has faded and he’s given away a few chances with naivety. I’d probably swap him for Comley - if we concede again it’s game over. Possibly bring Isgrove on for Crawford but I can’t see delf lasting the game.

No changes for me. Yet. Early goal in this half and we can still win this

Poo-er, been exposed defensively by quick and direct. We probably had the best of 30 minutes out of the 45, but they've scored 3 and made Gilks work outside of that.
There's an argument we could've gone in level, but there's also an argument we could've been 5 down.

It’s got the same failings as earlier in the season. It’s just we are more confident so look less ragged.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 3:51 pmWe’ve missed Tutte on the physical side. What I would say is this isn’t a performance like we were making earlier this season, so we could still get back into it. But I think PV have done a number on us and I can’t see them relinquishing a 2 goal lead.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 3:49 pmNah. Gilks has made three saves. We’ve been way way second best. PV have impressed me. Direct, quick, organised. Work very very hard. Physical.
There is a way back in but personally I think that requires a change in system and personnel.

Nah. Newport was awful. Orient was gash. This is "annoyingly leaky" – but long-term, the most important thing might be the extremely promising full debut of that young man in midfield.
They'll be happy with what they've got, unless we volunteer more gimmies. Get at them early on, keep asking different questions, keep spreading it wide and getting it forward with urgency (Thomason especially good at this), encourage the overlaps. Not the afternoon we wanted but it's far from over yet.

I think Thomson has looked out of his depth, possibly because of the position. He looks a player but not as the shield.
I'd swap him for Comley or white (Christ) and Mascoll for Baptiste (and Jones to CB). They press together but really narrow. Pace in wide areas and in the channels.

That’s horrendous. What a way to start this half. Be a bartering this now. Might do us good in the long run...

Let’s be clear. This is a battering and doesn’t in any way flatter Port Vale. Embarrassing. Half decent side takes us apart. They’ve been way way way better than us today. Not even close:

Trying to work out why the commentators don't think they'll get 5 or 6.
