Can we give the Cumbrians, the blues? Carlisle away Sat 26th Dec.3-0 clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

3-1, Thomason. Good header at the back post from superb work by Doyle and Kiosso.

I think that's what they've been trying and has been the issue.

Jeff Stelling keeps repeating a quote from Evatt this week "we're the best team in this division"

Did he really say that?

That would be worse than any of the shite Hill came out with!
That's an incredibly selective quote from the daft old twunt Stelling.

The full quote is “I believe on our day and when we are playing to our strengths and training consistently well, we’re the best team in the division. Now people might say I’m deluded, we’re 15th in the league, but you guys have seen what we’re like when the team puts it together. There is no other team who can play the football we can but we have to cut out the nonsense and be better in the goals we concede."

Plenty of caveats in that, and quite correctly so. Lazy nonsense from Stelling. And Evatt should know better that he can be selectively quoted by idiots.

Presumably the wind gets turned off at half time.

If not we'll see how much is the weather v shambles. You'd think we'll get chances.

HT. Big half-time. Big team talk, play with the wind, see if they tire. Another Cumbrian 3-3 is far from unattainable.

Unfortunately he doesn’t know better. Learning on the job. I want it to work, I really, really do...

They need some signings behind the scenes as much as on the pitch. Amateurs.

Early goal for us and this finishes 5-3 to Bolton.

Poor half. We could have been easily 5 down. Playing like we are babies completely bullied and without a midfield. Evatt will probably say that we dominated it but for some lack of concentration.

I'm lost on the "plan" we're following. I'm not seeing us control the game with possession, knocking it about skilfully, but we were just a bit unlucky with three break away goals against the run of play. They just spanked us for most of 45 minutes and we got the goal against the run of play.

Of course we might draw or win from here, who knows? But let's not kid ourselves it's all part of a cunning plan.

No postcards to hand but it looks like we're abandoning the back three (for now) and throwing an extra attacking player on

Seems very far down the list of Mysterious Decisions we've seen down the years

Yeah no problem with that. There's going to be about 5 mins of football in this half.
