No cuntings tonight. Probably best 90 all season (although that's not a very high bar). I'd give Arthur a piggy back home for that.

Excellent stuff. A smile on my face at 5pm Saturday. Could get used to this.

Emphatic win in terms of the performance, if not the result.

But for me Gnahoua probably played the best attacking performance I’ve seen this season from any of our players. He’s the spark we’ve missed.Prufrock wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:54 pmHe's been very good and I'd have given him motm but let's not get carried away. Baptiste been v good too. And Santos.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:52 pmAye let him go now. Beat the traffic home by 5. Seriously the stand out player by any measure.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:50 pmI think you'll find that Gnu has been m-o-t-m todsy by a country mile, Henshaw.
They were even worse at the back than they were up top.
He played well. Was my motm. I'm not sure he was quite as good as you've gone for there.

Yes I noticed that, and credit were its due - decent performance that but our finishing is shite, proper shite - it should of been at least 4-0 but lets just celebrate a long overdue win.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:55 pmToo fecking right Evatts smiling... saved his job that
Baptiste, Santos & Arthur were excellent.

A overdue good result and a good performance - I can't recall them having many chances. I don't see us rampaging up the league, but it's a pleasing psychological boost for me that the points gap between our current position and the play-off places is now shorter than between us and the relegation zone.

I’m not getting carried away - we still looked half asleep from half time till about 65 minutes.
Lee and Thomason played the full 90 - surprising given the football we have this week.

There's quite a few teams between 31 and 34 points...even a mini run could help.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 5:07 pmA overdue good result and a good performance - I can't recall them having many chances. It certainly could - there are no runaway leaders in this league - but I think any improvement will be gradual rather than sudden.
That's not for now, though. Tonight is about basking in the glory of our well-earned three points.

Very little to not like about that performance, bar some poor finishing.
Lee, although he didn’t contribute much flashy, is very mobile, assured on the ball and intelligent in terms of position. Perhaps too early to make sweeping statements about him, but I think he brings more to the team than Sarce, and doesn’t seem to go missing like El Capitan.

I can't tell you how desperate I was for Brocky to get the final touch on our first goal.

Vaguely recall Brocky missing a sitter in the away fixture? At 1-0 down?

Was then when he attempted to head it in from a foot off the ground?

Mind, the boy had a perfectly good one chalked off at League-Leading Cambridge, which robbed us of two points we could do with right now

Just having a look at the league table and DEAR GOD WHY ARE WE DOWN THERE
Points-wise, equidistant between the dots delineating automatic relegation and automatic promotion
Glancing upwards, I would like my fellow journalists reporting on Tuesday's game at Mansfield to granted usage of the verb "leapfrog"
Also: might watch the highlights show tonight - does Colin Murray still host it?

Dibs, you may also be glad to know that thanks to today's win, allied to Southend's two losses and Grimsby's one loss this week, we would now have to lose the next 14 consecutive games to have a lower PPG than our relegation rivalsofficer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 6:01 pmYep all coming back to me now - I was desperate for him to get one then which is why the OP reminded me.

Yes he did. We really deserved to win that match. It was probably the closest we've looked to what I expected an Evatt team to look like.
