What’s that in Km? 6.5 more then you’ve done?!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:33 pmAye. I’m sure you’ll somehow manage 5k between now and the 28th.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:43 pmReckon 5k over February is a doable challenge. It’s a short month though. I’ll join you (virtually) BP.

No idea. Didn't hurt. Thought I was losing a lung at first. Jesus these hills are tough. No wonder I didn't take up running 'til I moved to London.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:34 pmNails! Seriously though. How the feck did you manage to do that?Gary the Enfield wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 8:12 pmThought I'd lump in on this one, seeing as I'm a local again. Scratch me up for 7.5 miles tonight.
Had a bit of a do on Saturday. Was running up COR from Horwich and the cold air irritated my throat so badly I had a coughing fit. Started spitting blood but carried on up George's Lane and back home. Realised afterwards I'd torn my Uvula. Standard.

Ouch. You ok? I’ve just injured my arm helping my daughter practice her backwards walkover but this sounds worse! Have they given you antibiotics for the infection?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:32 pmYeah, he's also just meandered from out of hours quack with high BP and an infection...

Should be ok thanks, picking up antibiotics now. Thought I felt a bit ropey after today's walk. I'm going to focus on 3k to couch potato tomorrowGooner Girl wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:39 pmOuch. I didn’t inhale!
Seriously though, mate. Hope you’re soon on the mend. 10k Zimmer frame race might not be that inaccurate!

Get well soon Worthy.
Active weekend for me. 29 miles on the indoor bike then 2x5km runs Saturday morning followed by an 11.5 mile run followed by a 3 mile hike up to the mast.

I've been doing almost nothing. Done 3k twice in the last week though and feel crippled. Going to go out again now though. (After finishing my jammy wagon wheel.)

Re: The athletics/running thread
Cheers LE! Still shocked tbh.
Not so much at the minute, been injured since just before christmas with a knee issue, only just gotten back into slow plods the last week. Thankful there is enough time between now and then to heal up properly, get some good training in and get rid of the xmas beef that has been carried alarmingly into Feb
Hope you're feeling better soon. Work sent us a box of donuts the other week as an end-of-quarter thank you. My flatmate is at his partner's so I had them all to myself. 12 donuts. It is like they want me to fail.
