Thomason v good as was John. But Santos motm by a country mile. Immense.
Set-pieces and playing with 10 men. What's that, 5 reds in 7? And then so easy to play through.
When are any of these refs going to start being shit in our favour? I'm trying to thick of a possible big wrong decision we've had in our favour. Maybe a soft pen in about Nov?
fecking garbage.

Hard work. Good three points, poor disjointed game. Red card looked nothing like for me.

Seen close up of challenge if anything the decision should have been the other way.

That was my initial reaction too. Similar to Maddison's in that their lad goes flying in and ours has "protected" themself but within the rules, not gone over the top. Points away for missing the target after that Jaffa of a ball in from Afolayan though

A enjoyable, if not necessarily comfortable, first half performance followed by the expected regression in the second half. A win's a win but I'm still unconvinved. It really concerns me that there was precious little sign of game management towards the end.
Santos was very good, as he now usually is, and I thought the contributions from Afolayan, John and Thomason were encouraging.

He’s as likely to play a through ball for their centre forward as ours!Prufrock wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:03 pmHe'd at least have stuck it in Row Zofficer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:00 pmImagine what Maddison would have done with it...

I thought their defender did v well tbf but yeah should have scored and got himself back to 0 for the season.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:05 pmPoints away for missing the target after that Jaffa of a ball in from Afolayan though
I'll settle for him keeping them out the other end mind

7ft giant in our box, 5ft3 in theirs....that’s Santos, frustrating doesn’t cover it. Still without him I think we’d have conceded.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:08 pm"Should he have done better with that, Steve?"Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:05 pmPoints away for missing the target after that Jaffa of a ball in from Afolayan though

I've only seen one replay of it, but the only worry I have that Williams' red card won't be overturned is that they're having to overturn them so often it's becoming embarrasing.

Clearly not, at either end. You're so full of shit Evatt!
We only allowed three efforts on target, but by recent standards that's poor: Orient and Morecambe only had one each. There's always scope for improvement (and sheer blank terror for us) but I'd say we're not doing too badly at the back.

Oh I agree. However, I still expect a professional footballer to be able to head a ball at a target eight feet high by eight yards wide from a few yards out.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:11 pm7ft giant in our box, 5ft3 in theirs....that’s Santos, frustrating doesn’t cover it. I was 50/50 as to whether mad dogs would be overturned as in real time I thought it was one. On this one I was already calling Kunty Kettle a c*nt for giving the free kick against us. Right under his fecking nose!

Not seen the replay, but it was clearly an absolute stonewall red. No need to appeal this one, Ian.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:14 pmI was 50/50 as to whether mad dogs would be overturned as in real time I thought it was one. Yeah back 4 looks fine. Bit worried about the protection, especially after Delf went off they got at us through the middle a lot more easily. Hopefully Lee coming back will fix that.
Alarmed at how easily they got at us once we went to ten. Obviously you're a man down but they got into crossing positions or won a corner every time they went forward. And the thick c*nts up top too dim to go in the corner. Arthur at about 86 was bad (and fecking Isgrove tried a flick in the box from the cross). But the top-knotted f*ck can have his dinner for trying to score after 93.

Exactly what I'm thinking. They have to be seen to be backing their refs at some point, even though they are generally shocking.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:12 pmI've only seen one replay of it, but the only worry I have that Williams' red card won't be overturned is that they're having to overturn them so often it's becoming embarrasing.
The lower the league - the worse the refs.
