This shit pitch definitely not helping us, but some signs of promise from Lee, Maddison and Dapo.
I get the feeling we’re going to get some chances on the break, so Delf on for Doyle would be my suggestion.

Sounds like the commentator keeps calling it the Owen Coyle Stadium

For the benefit of those of us still stuck in the office - are we playing well?

MJ doing his stuff as well too.
Isgrove getting nowt out of Perch.
Madison looks rusty.
Please please can we keep Lee fit? Snippets there that showed what a diamond we could have on our hands.
I'd like to see more from Dapo. Great effort though

Stream it to your phone! I'd say honours about even but think we shaded that half.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:48 pmFor the benefit of those of us still stuck in the office - are we playing well?

It was a great effort, but taking the shot on wasn't his best option.

Hmm. We've looked pretty good up to the final third where it breaks down. Doyle not been great. They played straight through us easily fit the first 20 but Lee and MJ been excellent since. Need those forward boys to turn it on. Lovely bit of magic from Dapo unlucky not to score. Need to be more direct not in terms of passing but running at people. Horrible pitch and it's about being front foot, getting the ball in good areas and then being positive when it does drop to you. I thought they were better at that than us (probably due to knowing the pitch better. I'd be tempted to take Doyle off and give us either the pace of Dapo or presence of Delf, but I can see the logic that of it looks like a goal is going to come from a scrappy source Eoin is your man.

Decent Half. Took the sting out of Mansfield's fast start with the help of the early cards for them. We look solid but so far Doyle without a sniff. We need one chance to win this as our defense is not giving them anything so far.

Not many worries that half, the lack of an on bench keeper will undoubtedly bite us in the rear end sooner or later.

Possibly the best 1-11 half I've seen this season. How refreshing it is to get to H-T and there isn't a single finger being pointed at any one player.

Close then, rasping cross in front of goal, nobody on the end of it.

Seems like an issue tactically to me that we're not ahead yet. Any time we get the ball forward we're looking like Doyle's left on his own. Seems like we're ending up being overloaded in midfield rather than the 3 up top.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 6:02 pmPossibly the best 1-11 half I've seen this season. Haha, brilliant, anyone else catch the commentator farting at 47:48?

That Isgrove challange that he's just given a free kick for was little different to the one against us in the penalty area when he put his whistle up his arse.

Mansfield resorting to Morecambe tactics.
I don't think Isgrove has the strength to knock that lad over.
