Declan John really is a treat.
Marcus Maddison desperately needs a goal or to be told to calm down a bit. Put it this way - if he were unknown or a kid we'd be saying drop him.

Thought his link up play with Doyle was looking good. Up until the part where Doyle had played it over to him and he decided to play act to win a free kick.
Rough tackle against Maddison then. Looks a sore one.

I don't get the Gilks punt to Doyle. Feels like it's a 5% ball for us.
Madison down again. Is he made of glass?

Get a sub on for him now
He gives it away every time!

He's the shithouse we need on the pitch.
We'll roll over and have our bellies tickled without a character.
They'll target him and we'll get some decent free kicks from him, call it the Morcambe approach.

He's a distraction atm. Still trying to hard to impress for me. Don't think all the build up as the best player in the league helps. Just needs to play it simple and keep his head down. You can see the flashes.

I'd say drop him. He'd be a useful sub. Get Sarcevic in next game.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 3:34 pmDeclan John really is a treat.

Agree on John, so rapid and direct.

Delfounso playing the Isgrove role perfectly. Twice I've forgotten he was playing

Never a free kick that. MJ punished again.

I think Gethin Jones needs to re-stud his boots and have a coffee at half time.

Another chance goes "a-begging" as Madders' free-kick find Baptiste but he can't control to convert

Great delivery by Maddison into the box from that free kick.
Poor again in front of goal though.
