Yesterday’s and today’s planks just done. Not helped by over excited dog barking in my ear before sitting on my head. Think she thought I was play bowing

Made the mistake of running tonight after a large portion of toad in the hole. 3 miles felt like double that!

London to Brighton at the weekend. Nice little ride, and a zoom up Devil's Dyke before heading down to the seafront. Lovely views, bastard of a hill though.
Back at track on Thursday which should be nice. Then moving to Leyton in a fortnight so shall be scouting out some running/tri clubs out east. Fun times!

Good luck. East London Harriers would be a good start. Also recommend Orion Harriers out of Chingford (IM world champion Lucy Charles Barclay runs for them and, occasionally, Ronnie O'Sullivan) You might get involved in the Chingford League races and race against my old club Trent Park.KeyserSoze wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:07 amLondon to Brighton at the weekend. Very happy bunny after yesterday. First time in a pool since December and managed 1500 metres in 40 minutes.
Later went to the track and ran some of my best times in 12 months including a 1:29 400m

Managed to shuffle 12km on Monday and just had a glorious walk round Jumbles and up past Turton Tower in grand weather.

First run in over 3 weeks this evening, with Bruce and Morag. Very pleased with 5k in under 30 mins after almost breaking my ankle in the first 50m!

Well done. I’ve not done anything in ages. I may squeeze into my lycra tomorrow and attempt a work out video or some yoga/stretching.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 8:10 pmFirst run in over 3 weeks this evening, with Bruce and Morag. Thanks. The plan is to get back out Saturday morning, as long as there’s no reaction on my ankle. Couple of regular midweek runs and then get back on the hills in preparation for the return of Parkrun in 6 weeks time.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:53 pmWell done. Where’s Leigh exactly? Back at club tonight and there was a Leigh Harrier who has moved down south and was checking out the club. I said I had a few friends in running clubs up there. Nice to hear a northern accent again

Fair enough, I just lump it all in ‘north west’ - all much the same isn’t it?! Elderly men, flat caps and whippets, eating barm cakes and young holies stealing hub caps!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:31 pmThat was a compliment. In other not very exciting news, I went out on my first run in about 3 weeks after hurting my foot. Just 3 very slow miles but it’s a start back. Foot held out ok.
