Barnsley extend vs dead-men-walking FGR.
Those there - how's MJ doing? I know there were concerns about his pace, but I reckon physicality and game-reading are more critical to that central role than how quick you are...

Feels like we really should have pressed home our advantage a bit more here. Letting them back in and they were absolute bobbins for first half hour.

3-1 Burton! Have we identified this season's imploders-supreme??

Jesus wept Trafford.
Thankfully we had cover in MJ. Would've been a red without.

He’s absolutely dreadful. No chance of not conceding….truewhite15 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:39 pmBarnsley extend vs dead-men-walking FGR.

this is the thing. Yes, momentarily worrying that we play Burton soon; but I’m now thinking about the playoffs and who we might face. Wednesday would be a big challenge but they’d be devastated to miss the autos.truewhite15 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:40 pm3-1 Burton! Have we identified this season's imploders-supreme??

That looked a red to me. Poor refereeing and no idea what Trafford was thinking.

MJ with the Mbete slide.
We're going to need 3 goals.

MJ booked too. We’ve gone sloppy after a decent start.

Straight after the goal we stopped playing, slowed the game down, stopped playing through Sheehan and started chipping aimless balls down the channels. Can't understand why.

Yeah. We do this too often. They were there for the taking. Could have blown them away in first half hour. But we stopped with the intensity and have let them back in.

I expect its youthful exuberance but Trafford needs to cut that out of his game

I think that's the general consensus here at the ground.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:51 pmYeah. We do this too often. They were there for the taking. Could have blown them away in first half hour. But we stopped with the intensity and have let them back in.
Never a sending off by the way. The rule is 'denying a goal scoring opportunity' isn't it? Ball was heading to the corner flag and MJ was covering. Terrible decision by Traf to go for it though.

We’d settle for this state of affairs in an hour’s time. Shame Derby are winning but Posh’s loss is a bonus whatever happens (and also puts Monday’s late leveller by the same team into some context). We would also move two points further from Wycombe and Pompey, who would then require a serious turnaround to catch us.
However. Another half to play. Keeper and (ersatz) centre-back on yellow peril. Will we hold off the homers, as at Exeter? Or fold as on Monday? COYFWM
