FT Plymouth 2-0 Bristol Rovers.
Argyle now 5pts clear of third-placed Wednesday. Have to take the hat off to them. And to Ipswich, cruising to a 3-0 win at fourth-placed Barnsley that will see them 4pts & 20 goals clear of Wednesday. Both teams deserve promotion.

Shoretire and Nlundulu want fecking off. Thick as mince and couldn’t give a shite. Compare that to traf and Bradley, shows you hit and miss these loans can be.

Not good enough. Accy fortunate there but no less annoying.
That three points required from the last two games has now turned into 6 points required as I can see Sheff Wednesday and Barnsley potentially looking to play favourites in the who joins them in the play off race.
Shades of Evatt's first season in charge tonight. Pressures on and players failing to turn up to deliver against the near bottom of the table in the run up to securing a top spot.
Too many players underperforming tonight.
Accrington went out to frustrate and they did just that. They got lucky thanks to our complacency and we never really woke up.

Accrington did the job they came to do, we’d celebrate in their position. We won the right one though! There’s no chance this team beats Barnsley or Wednesday over two legs - I’m genuinely not that arsed if we miss out on the play offs. We aren’t going up, not a prayer. So thanks for the wembley trip and a great day out lads!

Each january signing is more wank than the next. I'd trade 'em all for Dapo.

Two things.
January signings are all absolute stinkers.
Mentality. Weak as feck.
If they blow this from here they will deserve all the flak that comes their way.

Only two players deserve pay. MJ. Bradley. Rest shirked or bottled it.

We've fairly recently managed 1 goal in three games against three teams (Morecambe, Accrington and Burton), who combined have conceded 225 goals...

The end is nigh.
Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.
We've got Fleetwood (H) and Bristol Rovers (A) left to play. Neither of which have anything left to play for this season. Accy was always the toughest one as they had to get a result.
Wasted opportunity and no doubt the players will be frustrated as hell. Last couple of season's we've had players who have bought into what Bolton are trying to achieve and how we're going to progress. I can't imagine the same could be said about Shoretire, Jerome or N'lundulu. We rode high on the crest of the Bodvarsson, Baka and Charles wave last season and the season before that the race for promotion, but this season it seems like we finished at Wembley and fell flat.
Seems every other game we're delivering and that's not going to be good enough to get promoted.
Looking around for players we can use that can score goals because week in week out we're seeing strikers playing that aren't delivering. Sadlier, Carty, Bodvarsson, Isgrove, Senior?

I'm sure there is a way to do it. We haven't found it yet. We get into decent positions and it's either hot potato or bung it in and hope.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:54 pmWe've fairly recently managed 1 goal in three games against three teams (Morecambe, Accrington and Burton), who combined have conceded 225 goals...

Way to do it is not have the nightmare January recruitment we’ve had. Signed a load of absolute donkeys. Evatt needs to front it up.DJBlu wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:56 pmI'm sure there is a way to do it. We haven't found it yet. Sadly DMC went bankrupt in 1982 and therefore stopped making time machines.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:58 pmWay to do it is not have the nightmare January recruitment we’ve had. Thing is though it’s alright saying that, then all of a sudden we play Barnsley or Wednesday and they have to fight for their lives again? If we do make the play offs we play the first leg at home - it’s easy to play a two legged tie against us if you’re at home second! We can’t put games to bed.
As for the January signings - I’d swap Dapo and Sadlier for Adebeyajo, Shoretire and Nlundulu certainly. Jerome I don’t fecking get - why hasn’t he hit the ground running? He was getting some minutes at a very good championship side? Why hasn’t he done it for us? But at the moment I’d be trying to get rid in summer…for a promotion push next year we need better in the forward positions.

Well we need to learn from it. January an unmitigated disaster. Whoever decided on those signings needs to answer for it.DJBlu wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 10:02 pmSadly DMC went bankrupt in 1982 and therefore stopped making time machines.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:58 pmWay to do it is not have the nightmare January recruitment we’ve had. Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.
Sides with nothing to play for don’t make it easy. Accrington are absolute rubbish yet we’ve bottled it. It’s about mentality now. Are these lot brave enough to win two games when it really matters? And I think it’s a big question mark. Our lack of goals is a massive issue. Can’t expect many chances in these end of season affairs. Gets edgy. Charles might get one chance. HAS to score it. Or that might be it. That’s the pressure. They need to start dealing with it.Mar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:56 pmWe've got Fleetwood (H) and Bristol Rovers (A) left to play. Nobody ever wins everything in life. No doubt Accrington council are commissioning a statue of tonight's ref, but the fact remains, we lost because we can't convert chances into goals or defeat bus-parking defences. Walking the ball in is okay if you-re Man City or Barcelona, we simply ain't. Jensen is a decent keeper, So when in doubt...SHOOT....
There's nothing to lose, and we did anyway.

Subs tonight also absolutely abysmal. What Evatt is doing is beyond me. Shoretire on at left wing back is a nonsense.
No Kieran Lee on is a nonsense. Jerome on is a nonsense.
Thomason should have come on for Morley too.
Evatt clearly buckling under pressure.
