Evatt says Dempsey wants to start but could be phased back in carefully.
“Kyle has obviously had quite a period out so whether he is ready to start games right now, I don’t know. He’ll tell you that he is, and he is showing that he is in training. But physically, we have to be careful.”
Forrester also available. Ashworth not mentioned but would he make the 18 anyway? He wasn’t in either of Cymru U21s matchday squads over the break.

Do we know Charles is fit? It’s not been directly mentioned. Yes he did an interview. But I just find it weird nowhere has confirmed his fitness after his sub with injury midweek.
Maybe it was nothing I guess.

Feels like something that would’ve been mentioned if it was an injury of any significance.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2023 7:06 pmDo we know Charles is fit? It’s not been directly mentioned. Might have been a tactical sub after Charles scored. No easy task against Denmark . Just a guess.

He did interviews straight after and it was near the end of the game after they'd just gone 2-0 up.
Bit of a bang so an excuse for a bit of time wasting, applause-taking I reckon.

I’d read at the time Dion was milking the injury - I’m surprised if he doesn’t start. He’s had two tough games though so he may well be first striker subbed.

One line in Iles' pre match today saying clean bill of health. Not a direct quote from anyone but you'd think he'd have a reason for saying it.

It's a crisp, sunny day! Have a little walk round the block, a few deep breaths. Maybe shout "Hello world, it's a beautiful day!" Whilst getting strange looks off the neighbours. Give yourself a knowing smile and be content that all will be well with the world.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:25 amYeah it’s encouraging. Hopefully not Evatt playing the game of not wanting to say someone is injured!

Had a quick browse of the Exeter forum and a lot of Insano's west country cousins seem to be on there. Safe to say they are not confident.

Well, just one day to finally some club football to cheer. Confidence seems to be high with both team and management. We need to be charitable in all things...except sport in which Ming the Merciless needs t be our mascot, so get in there and net a few goals. COME ON YOU WHITES....

The most dangerous time. Eyes peeled for banana skins.

The FLT fixture has been announced, vs Port Vale (H) on the weekend of 4th December.
Exeter, Oxford, Harrogate (FAC), Port Vale (FLT), Portsmouth.
It looks like a range of fixture difficulty in there.
Should be interesting tomorrow's round of fixtures. Blackpool like to upset some of the harder sides in the league and come unstuck against the smaller teams, so Blackpool playing Portsmouth may yield a pleasant surprise for us.
Blackpool's record against the top 10 (so far):
Lincoln 3-0 Blackpool
Barnsley 0-1 Blackpool
Blackpool 1-3 Derby
Blackpool 3-0 Stevenage
Oxford 1-1 Blackpool
Blackpool 2-4 Peterborough (Blackpool down to 10 men for half a match)
Bolton 1-0 Blackpool
So that's W2 D1 L4. Not great, but enough to show that they'll give themselves a fighting chance. Especially if you consider how they played against us and Oxford away from home.
Special mentions to the 0-0 draw in Exeter's pomp, and the 2-1 win over Wigan who would be top 10 if it wasn't for the points deduction.
Oxford on the other hand, play Cheltenham. You'd expect that to go the way its expected. So the race for top spot should hopefully be interesting this weekend.

Match-goers don't forget your scarves and anoraks. Current temp in Bolton is 0-degrees, so that might have some effect on things. Same for both sides, but it might keep things on the move. They don't call it Winter Hill for no reason..

Alternatively you can buy scarves and coats and the like from the club shop and wrap up whilst propping up the clubs coffers. Either way, its best not to freeze.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:41 pmMatch-goers don't forget your scarves and anoraks. If Blackpool hold Pompey (not easy as it's at Fratton) and we win, we're in the top two whatever Oxford do. If we then won at Oxford on Tuesday, we'd be top.Mar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 7:07 pmShould be interesting tomorrow's round of fixtures. Interesting to see how Pompey react after a bad time before the break. Remember they lost in the FA Cup at non-league Chesterfield, and more permanently lost key centre-back Regan Poole for the season to an ACL; at least one local journo described him as their second most important player after Colby Bishop. After an 11-changes win at Orient in the Sherpa Van they then finished their league campaign at home to Charlton and were pegged back twice, the second one in time added on - precisely the sort of thing they'd been doing to other teams.
After a fairly faultless start to the season it's their first real test of character, in the manager's first No.1 job. By no means certain he'll fall and fail, but they're probably nervier than they should be - especially given their 2+ppg points haul, what with us breathing down their necks. That start has been built on the division's tightest defence - six teams have scored more than them, but nobody has conceded anything like as few - so if Poole's absence causes nerves...
So good luck Blackpool - go at it like you did at ours and you may catch them on the wobble, which would be warmly welcomed by Wanderers.
