Didn’t see it but I hear the right-back they brought on as substitute gave away the penalty for the equaliser and the free kick for the winner. Oops.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 6:58 pmSaid he was the worst player ever to play for Australia, they wish he'd chosen Wales, hoped his injury was bad, that sort of thing.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 6:52 pmHadn’t seen any animosity from their fans - they not appreciative of Geth?

Yeah, it won't be pretty for him either. Some really tired defending, which you can understand as Korea kept hitting the space around him and forcing him to sprint. A better manager probably would have refreshed that position, but it's international football.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 11:15 pmDidn’t see it but I hear the right-back they brought on as substitute gave away the penalty for the equaliser and the free kick for the winner. Honestly, it's been nice to see Bolton fans rallying around Geth - even if it's been a bit daft. He's been an important part of getting us from nowhere to close to the Championship (also known as slightly less nowhere) and he seems a really good lad. He takes a lot online and the players and staff see it all, so going away with Oz for his international dream and then getting it even worse must have been shite.

WRT social media, life works the way you choose to let it. I’m finding it quite difficult to be confident about this one given Rico’s absence. It’s hard to know how we’ll cope defensively without him, but given his importance to our system I’d say we’ll need to alter our set-up and tactics somewhat. Hopefully Evatt and his coaches have had sufficient time this week to prepare the lads.
Anyway, outside of the back three we’re looking really strong, and my pessimism last week was misplaced, so let’s hope for a high scoring victory for the Super Whites.

Not sure this bears much comparison with last week. Obvs we'd lost to Carlisle at home, but it wasn't on the basis we'd played really well and they were just better, we had a bad day at the office.The_Gun wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 11:18 amI’m finding it quite difficult to be confident about this one given Rico’s absence. Today feels like we need to be "on it" from the starting gun and suspect we're all nervous about the back three but we have manages to beat Stevenage and draw v Posh with 10 men for 45 mins. So I'm not without hope...

They're not shy of a goal - they have more than us (albeit from one more game) - so I suspect it might have to warm up, more than once.

As there's been no official word then I think our back 5 will be;
Ashworth, JDC, Iredale, Toal and Forrester
I'm assuming this as both Toal and Forrester were due fitness checks yesterday and of ot was bad news we'd have heard about it. As we haven't I'm hoping for the best unless they're both fecked and Evatt is keeping Barnsley guessing then again what do I know?

"Eoin Toal and Will Forrester are currently on track to play against the Tykes, having both carried injuries in recent weeks."
Surely that's a typo. I knew Forrester was back in training but to be fit for todays game would be a stretch? I would love to be wrong as his presence would ease a few nerves of some?

Iles reported during deadline day that Evatt hadn’t ruled Forrester out of involvement in Barnsley game.DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 11:52 am"Eoin Toal and Will Forrester are currently on track to play against the Tykes, having both carried injuries in recent weeks."
