Wigan look overly wound up to me. Leaving a bit in early on.

Wigan with three fouls in two minutes…
Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.
3 fouls given away already from Wigan where they're leaving a little bit extra in. Gonna be one of those games.

Just don’t let that cart horse score against us

Can't really complain at that yellow. Daft foul. If you're gonna get a yellow, at least kick a bollock up an arse.

Clattering in seems OK, but the lightest of tugs is a yellow
Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.
We don’t usually get yellow cards given in our favour at this stage of the game. That’s the bit that rankles.

It's a cynical denial of a break away attack. They usually go down as a yellow. Can't really complain about that.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:22 pmClattering in seems OK, but the lightest of tugs is a yellow
Question marks as to whether the preceding challenge was a free kick but can't really complain there either.
It's a silly yellow.

Confusing and stupid tactics from them to not press us high.

I don't doubt it was a yellow, just questioning that clattering into folk with little intention of getting the ball is less worthy of a yellowMar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:24 pmIt's a cynical denial of a break away attack. Habitually, they don't press much and don't get it forward quickly. As Worthy rightly pointed out.

We really need to make this pressure count.

Yeah, it's madness. We've seen it a few times with Rico's sendings off getting worse punishment than people who could injure someone.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:26 pmI don't doubt it was a yellow, just questioning that clattering into folk with little intention of getting the ball is less worthy of a yellowMar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:24 pmIt's a cynical denial of a break away attack. Bit of argy bargy between Thomason and the Wigan player during Paris' effort. Looks like they're targeting him.

Keep your head, Thommo
