Jerome joins Bod up front.
Presumably Plan B is now activated.

Collins was decent first half but shocking this half. Hardly surprising he's been taken off. Jekyll and Hyde performance.

Can't see us getting anything here, absolute bobbins. Baxter and Charles injuries have fecked us royally.

We're going to lose this. We're creating very little and look shellshocked defending.

Oh my Lord, Coleman. That Baxter injury might prove to be the promotion grenade. He’s all over the bloody place.

Luckily, we've stayed in touch partly through the inconsistency of other teams - long gone are the days of more than one team on 2ppg, now it's just Pompey, which is why they're 5pts clear.
But yeah, Dion and Bax can't come back soon enough. You wonder if Evatt will be tempted to risk reintroducing them earlier than he might have wanted.

I think singling out individuals isn’t worth it. We battered them first half but our inability to deal with a side who then come out and take the game back to us and press us is now not just a problem it’s why we won’t go up.
If we were more efficient when on top then we’d get away with it but we don’t put sides to the sword leave them in the games and then they have nothing to lose. Sometimes we survive. Other times we crumble. And of course sometimes we don’t score at all.
The bottom line for me is unless Evatt loses the naivety and builds a team that can mix it in this league when necessary and has leaders who might not be the best at football but rise to challenges we won’t get out of this league. We are too soft. Too naive. And too passive when it matters.

One mistake from the goalkeeper shouldn't cause the rest of the side to drop off as bad as they have. I know Exeter's tails are up, but it's no excuse for the fact we've not been able to string 3 passes in succession since.
Certainly seems like he may have been the difference between a title winning side and settling for the play offs. Consistency of clean sheets is a long distance memory.BorsdaneWhite wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 4:39 pmOh my Lord, Coleman. That Baxter injury might prove to be the promotion grenade. I would like to see more urgency from us during this injury break. Talk, enthuse, consider, tweak.

Being torn apart by a team 30 points below us, who we smashed 7-0 at home. Pathetic.

Oooo some pressure on their net. Are we waking up for the final 10 mins?
Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
Jones' be really disappointed with that header. Unchallenged at the back post and completely fluffed his lines.

Yeah, looked like he got up half a second too early...

I get the impression he was trying to push their player forward to make space without realising he had the space he already needed.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 4:49 pmYeah, looked like he got up half a second too early...
