Lancashire book spot in C&G final

C&G Trophy, Edgbaston: Warwickshire 249-5 lost to Lancashire 250-7 by three wickets

Scorecard
Lancashire secured their place in the C&G Trophy final at Lord's with a three-wicket win over Warwickshire.

Lancashire always looked in control of the game with destiny in their hands as they restricted Warwickshire to 249-5 in their 50 overs.

Mark Wagh hit 49 and Ian Trott an unbeaten 76 from 86 balls but clever bowling from Keedy and Hogg prevented the hosts from unshackling the bat.

Lancashire got off to a flier with Mal Loye hitting 60 off 44 balls.

New Zealaner all-rounder Nathan Astle was out for a duck on his Lancashire debut but Stuart Law steered Lancashire towards victory with 68 and an unbeaten 33 from Dominic Cork guided Lightning to a date with Sussex at Lord's on 26 August.

Well done.

Perhaps they could have a warm up match against Sri Lanka, they can't do much worse than is England at the moment. ;)

That's what we said this time last year then everything went pearshaped.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

The only thing, IMO, that will stop us this season, is the weather.
