I loved that. I was in the main stand and ripped my fleece off to reveal my Bolton shirt as part of my celebration.Dr Hotdog wrote:New years day, 2002

Thought I'd resurrect this old beast - 8 goals in his last 6 games, 11 in 11 for England, if I could be arsed to find his stats from December last year they'd make good reading.
It seems as though the media in general are coming round to the opinion that he's not just a lanky streak of piss. What about those detractors on here?

Fair dos, he's a much better player than I thought he was when he signed for Liverpool. I still don't like the look of the England teamsheet with him spearheading the attack though.

I'm convinced Davies would be an absolute revelation in the England team but the way Crouch is playing he'll be hard to replace. It will be interesting to see how the team shapes up with Rooney in the team ahead of Defoe and if that affects Crouchys form.

PETER CROUCH WILL NOT BE A PART OF A SUCCESSFUL ENGLAND TEAM
HE MISSES WAY TOO MANY CHANCES
AND HE MAY AS WELL TAKE DEFOE WITH HIM

I'm not going to get into a discussion discussing the merits of a 'misunderstood' Peter Crouch. The guy is no-where near England quality and never will be. A goal tally of 0 for Liverpool thus far this season proves that. As a holding player and target striker there are few better than Davies, especially when you start comparing that players value:
Crouch - value £7m: Liverpool - 6th/7th/8th???
Davies - feck all and a pie: Bolton - 3rd
Doesn't take a genius to work out you're talking bollocks.
