Well, I want to apply for admission in a couple of NYC universities. The ones in California are better for what I do (movies/telly), but I've been told LA is shit.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Whereabouts, VI?Village Idiot wrote:Looks like there's another Yank Wanderer in the making, I've just been given a grant for studying in the US 2 years. Califorbia is a heck of a big state. LA has problems (urban poor, crowded freeways, smog, etc.) but there are many universities in smaller cities where the lifestyle is probably good - depends what you want of course. NYC is a fascinating place to visit but not to live IMHO. If I went to a city of the east coast it would be Boston (don't tell AT or he'll get a big head), where thare are 60 universities and colleges, on the west coast likely San Francisco.Village Idiot wrote: Well, I want to apply for admission in a couple of NYC universities. I actually tried to move to Boston when I applied for another grant during my "regular" student life 7 years ago. Ended going to Prague, though. Hell of a cool place and some of the best times of my life.
Dunno, now that I know I have the grant I'll sit with all the the university brochures and make a decision. As I said the most reputed filmmaking universities (AFI, UCLA...) are in LA but for the little time I've spent in the US I feel I'm more of an East Coast guy. Looks more European.

Oh and who doesn't like Australia and Australians?
