We're staying up.

Exactly, we couldn't have complained had swansea been 4-1 and spurs 1-1 so move on.leyther95 wrote:Some people talk utter sh*t on here. Today we played well and lost. Last week we played awful and drew.
We must get something against west brom.
I really don't know if QPR can get anything against Stoke, depends what sort of Stoke team turn up. If we can get anything against west brom and QPR lose then we should be safe barring a massive shock on the last day.
I think we'll get a point. QPR...I just don't know. That could be enough to keep us up or it could fall way short.

Re: wba at home
Our day has been few and far between this season, but when we're having "our day" (see Stoke, Liverpool, Everton) we ARE good enough to beat WBA. What's more than that, we NEED to beat WBA. It's by no means a foregone conclusion, but it's the last home game of the season, and it's a game we need to win to have a chance of staying up. Those factors mean that I can definitely see us winning on Sunday, even if it's only by the odd goal.
Whether it will be enough, only time will tell...

Don't we have anyone better than Boyata? Even from the youth team, anyone!!!!
I'm the same as a few of you, can see us getting 6 points or 0. Sunday is now critical

That's because he has to do every fcuker else is job!Mar wrote:We've been playing wingbacks in a 4-4-2 system. Which leaves three, sometimes two at the back. We're woefully short of decent midfielders even without an injury hit midfield. Nigel Reo-Coker has been consistent but I wouldn't say he's been the man sweeping across the back four. He's all over the place tackling from what it looks like and that's left us under pressure at the back.
We could spend all day criticising the players and the manager but the truth is we really looked like getting something from the game last night until we got sucker punched on the break. The players and staff need to have a lift from somewhere to give them fresh impetus for Saturdays game.
I'm confident that the players can achieve victories over WBA and Stoke. They need to believe that.
Hope we've got the Sports Psycologist helping out.

There's no indication that he is - he played a reserve game not so long back.Jokers in White wrote:Is joe riley injured

Well that's baffling then, he has played very well when called upon.Little Green Man wrote:There's no indication that he is - he played a reserve game not so long back.Jokers in White wrote:Is joe riley injured

Re: wba at home
almost as baffling as captain tactics not picking one he spent money on.
i thought boyota was ok in the disorganised rabble that masquerades as our defence...got caught forward for the second though.
NRC looked fecked and if he is injured we have no hope in my view.

Positive: Vela looked decent in possession. I'd like to see him start. Maybe he'll have that determination and desire to mask his inexperience.
I'd play Vela and NRC (if fit) with Mark Davies behind N'gog. Davo on second half.

Vela might add a bit of enthusiasm and energy that most others are lacking. The kind we've missed with Stuey being out.

Exactly. And he actually looks a tidy player. Which is a bonus..

I'd take that at this point now, over supposed Premier League experience!

For me the quotes don't exactly write that headline:

Please to God, let's see him from the bench for 15 or so.

'but cos we're not, that means the ones who have been playing are shit but please go out and win for me this weekend anyway, knowing you wont be in the team next season'“We can only put Chungy in if he’s fit to play,” the Bolton boss said. “We’d absolutely love to have him in, just as we would Stuart Holden, and everyone else, because if we had those players available we’d be half way up the league.
Re: wba at home
We'll probs end up beating these guys and it won't be enough to lift us out of relegation as QPR will win at home. Wigan will lose to Blackburn and it will send everything to the last game.
We'll lose our bottle and go down to a loss at Stoke.
This will make the 5-0 loss look like a drop in the ocean in comparison.

IF ultimately we are to go down then I hope that we lose to West Brom and QPR win. That way it gives us an extra week to prepare for next season knowing our fate.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Interesting...DJBlu wrote:We'll lose our bottle and go down to a loss at Stoke.

For me that is preferable to ultimately going down on the last day.
Obviously I hope we avoid that fate altogether!

Nah, 'cos there'd still be that tiny sliver of hope on goal difference.BWFC_Insane wrote:IF ultimately we are to go down then I hope that we lose to West Brom and QPR win. I seem to recall it from 1996.
